A friend and I rented unit #124 as a VRBO here for a long weekend. The unit is small, but plenty large enough for what we needed, and gave us a small kitchen, dining table and living area for less than we would have paid for two hotel rooms. As long as one is reasonably able-bodied and fit, the Canadian Rockies Chalets is walking distance to just about anywhere in Canmore, at least on that side of the highway. One night we walked to Goucho's for dinner and stopped at Safeway on the way back. Bear in mind, parking at the Chalet is very limited, the later your arrival, the less likely you will find a spot (and the more difficult it will be to maneuver in and out of any remaining spots). If you are a light sleeper with an early bedtime, be aware the walls are very thin so the fewer the vacancies (ie, weekends in the winter when units are full of skiers and probably any time in the summer months), the more likely you will hear footsteps and voices from adjoining units. But we enjoyed our stay here very much and would totally stay here again if we return to visit Banff, or Lake Minnewanka, or Lake Louise, or any other destinations in the Banff area again.

Location is great! Walking distance to everything! Rooms, for something that automatically charge you $150 cleaning fee, it should be cleaner. Also, for automatically charging $150, I shouldn't be required to empty my own garbage or load the dishwasher. So room cleanliness is so-so, so what's the cleaning fee for? Service, we rented a 3 bedroom loft, we assumed there would be minimum 2 parking stalls to be had. We didn't even mind to pay. BUT, calling customer service is a joke. Whoever helped us did not know anything about our questions. So we asked for the manager, 4pm, apparently there's no manager around at all. When we booked, we put 4 adults and 1 infant. My wife called about having a high chair, apparently they never have it. Either, maybe in the future, have it as an option or whoever we were talking to doesn't know anything, again. Again, great area! Room space is great! Rooms could be cleaner for something they automatically charge $150. Here's some pictures. Looks great, right? Sure.

The place was just as they described, and we had all the things we needed. The beds were comfy, and the condo had good supplies. However, parking is a bit tight, so be careful. There are lots of places nearby that you can easily walk to. But, I must mention, the train passing by might wake you up a few times at night, so plan for that. During summer, it can get really hot inside as there's no air conditioning. Also, reaching out to the management can sometimes be a bit difficult. Another thing to note is that the bathrooms in our rooms didn't have locks. On the bright side, there are many restaurants and food places near the chalet, so you can quickly grab a bite when you're hungry. The best part is the stunning view of the Canadian Rockies from the balcony. It's truly a sight to behold and adds a lot of joy to your stay. 🏔️🌟

The idea of having a 2bdrm apt for a short trip to Canmore interested me, however, these chalets are old and seem pretty run down. Example: shower barely gets hot and has poor water pressure, heating system is inconsistent and LOUD, you could barely watch tv because of this, then there the train, right outside your bedroom, that rumbles the entire chalet. The pull out couch was pretty much expired, time to toss it guys! The beds and sheets however were nice with a view of mountains, train was behind that fence outside the window Do yourself a favour and stay near the town square, for a quieter and more walkable getaway If this place was without all the vents/fans and train noises it would be ok, however in dire need of upgrades. the white noise (constant racket) was kinda unbearable to be around when you want to relax :(

Love how the condos are in range with each other and the proximity to all other establishment. Large window veranda in the main bedroom for lots of morning sun. The unit however does not have sufficient cooling power that is felt during the sleeping hours. Towel sets are individually wrapped in plastic placed under cupboard in the bathroom. Plates and utensils available. Large king size bed. Take note this establishment does not have a front desk office therefore payment will be deducted right away with a 100 dollar deposit for accidental damages by giving your credit card number and cvc on the phone or email. Which for me is a bit weird. I dont like my card information being given away. And paying everything even you havent got into the place. Otherwise the place is clean and nothing fancy.

The Good; The rooms and facility is clean. Staff is freindly and very accomidating. The location is near some great restaurants and bars (easily within walking distance) The Bad; Only one parking spot per suite (even for ones with multiple rooms) additional parking is $20/night or across the street. Only two keys available per suite While clean, rooms are well used. Bed is worn, saggy, lumpy pillows. No air conditioning in units. There are fans in the rooms but they are noisy, poorly placed and off balance. Conference room is not air conditioned, narrow, no fans. Directly beside the railway tracks. Trains are very common, and sound like they are going through your room (especially when the windows are all open due to heat) Hot tub was out of service for the four days we stayed.
