I had just finished watching a movie at this theater. Stepped out briefly then shortly after needed to use the washroom, returned to use the washroom, the attendant at the podium demanded to see my ticket which I produced then indicated that I needed a current ticket …..
I had just finished seeing a movie a short time before this…. I showed the ticket…. And was told I could not use the washroom as they did not allow public access!!! I had a ticket, showed the ticket and was turned away! This will be escalated to cineplex corporate office. They either have to change their policy to allow ticket holders that have just finished seeing a movie to use the washroom or change their corporate policy to allow ticket holders to use the washroom within a reasonable time frame up to an hour after showing …. Or something !
But let me say this is by far the worst theater and I will not be returning as a result of this. I will file a complaint to their head office and maybe they should treat customers better that were just there…. Who purchased tickets and allow them to use the washroom. It’s absurd to say the least ! Maybe the staff member should be let go as a result! Extremely rude to say the least! The policy at this location should be changed to allow ticket holders from the sane day ! Change the corporate policy to reflect better customer service and consideration! Unbelieveable!
I will however pass the news to everyone I know to boycott cineplex chinook as a result! Was it worth turning paying customers away ! Bad news travels at ten times the speed…. Learn customer service cineplex! I will never go to chinook cineplex again and you have not heard the last of this!
I have been a regular customer there for decades! NOT ANYMORE !!! Well done Scotia bank Chinook Theater. Just lost a long term customer that will never return and I hope more run into this so more customers are lost! Treat you customers better to keep them and understand what customer satisfaction is and how to treat your...
Read moreThis place is in rough shape and it appears the parent company will just keep milking the cow till enough people stop going. I'm shocked mall ownership allows this to go on. if this was a retail store in the mall no chance it would be allowed to be this run down. Crumbling stairs, filthy, understaffed, food all over the floor, managers that try to look busy but fail miserably. Seats are old and don't recline but the price is the same. Had AMA coupons so just thought we would buy tix in person . That's a huge mistake. Arrived at 635 for a 715 movie , maybe 10th in line , and took till 710 to get to front book tix and get popcorn. Asked and paid a huge amount for layered butter on popcorn.... good luck.... could barely find any butter .... there is no way they used even 2 tablespoons and its an expensive perk.... I guess if you dont care, you dont care....Poor people in front of us ordered hot dog and nachos, only to find out after 10 min they ran out of both and couldnt fill the order. 1st, how do you run out of either by 7 pm, 2nd , how does it take 10 min to find out youre out???? Completely incompetent.....People in line were pretty upset and the chatter wasn't very pleasant but who do you complain to..... it was almost laughable, except no one was laughing. To make it worse , cashiers had had enough of complaints and were somewhat rude and moved at glacial pace to get your orders. It was like, what are they going to do, fire me..... Short staffed now so these folks believe they are indispensable. All in all, cineplex should be Embarrassed at this location and how it's run. Except I doubt they are! We will not return till we hear there is a massive...
Read moreIt is disappointing that there isn’t a protocol for when there is technical difficulties during a screening.
Today, an entire audience paid $21 to see the new Marvel film. Part way through the movie, the video disappeared (sound still running). A patron left the theatre to tell someone that something was wrong. After what felt like 10 minutes, the movie came back on. The film was not backed up so that the audience could see the important scenes that were missed. The audience was not offered anything to compensate for missing the thing they had paid for. If we went to a restaurant, and a sandwich was supposed to come with fries, it seems fair that the patron should receive either fries or something in lieu of missing fries.
So then I tried to call the theatre. There was no at to speak to a real person. No “Contact Us” on the website. No recourse. Ne real human affiliated with the cinema seemed to care about the overall experience of the customers they serve.
So that will be the reason that we don’t attend this theatre again. And still, no one is likely to care. It was a wonderful reminder of why care is more important than skill or education.
Please put together a policy, and ensure the staff know what to do. Perhaps there is a policy, but no one enacted the policy today. So an entire audience just left feeling disappointed at missing the film they...
