Pure Outdoors — Attraction in Municipality of Jasper

This was our second time working with Pure Outdoors for canoe rentals. The first time our 2 night trip was cancelled due to Maligne lake being still frozen. Pure outdoors was very accommodating in offering a partial refund and letting us switch to a half day rental at another location. We returned last week from a 3 night (4day) trip on Maligne and are glad we returned to pure outdoor for the rental! The process was very simple. Being able to pick up the gear the day before was very convenient, and having the boat waiting at the launch made getting out on the lake super quick. We were given detailed instructions in the shop when we picked up the gear and a lot of great advice for navigating the lake. The gear was quality and we had no problems with the canoe. We keep coming back here whenever we visit Jasper. Originally we went in just to see what was available and were given some great hiking, outdoor, and naturalist advice from Jean Francois. Later we ended up renting some snow shoes and he provided us with suggestions and a map for our treks which all turned out to be great. He always provides up-to-date information with great suggestions tailored to your skill level and the current local conditions. We wished we had more time and had come in sooner. Later we rented skiis and the equipment was in great condition and was well priced, being much less expensive than at Marmot with different quality skill packages available if we wanted. Thanks to JF and the team at Pure Outdoors. I rented some demo skis for several days and the experience couldn't have been better. They're open early, I stopped in 10 mins after opening, and 10 minutes later I had an awesome pair of skis ready to rock. I came back a few days later as my son needed some poles and we were in and out in 5 mins with the perfect equipment. I called several places in town prior to renting with Pure Outdoors and the thing that drew me to them was the fact that JF sources as much Canadian made goods as possible.
