The name does not lie; this place really is a big beach! Big beach is not quite like Long Beach or sorts closer to Tofino. Rather there are many more rocks and boulders, more logs, and more tall grass all around. There are also designated picnic spots! Fun fact: per the information signs at the beach, there is a fairly-hard-to-find ship wreck lying in the beach. Big beach provides a very Pacific Northwest feel in the sense that the ocean is in front of you, you're on a rocky beach filled with logs, and tall evergreen trees are behind you. Very limited parking.

Beautiful beach that's great if you like clambering over rocks at low tide. The entrance to the beach has some fun puzzles and a scavenger hunt for kids that simultaneously educate them on local wildlife. Before the rocks there is a good amount of sandy/rocky beach with logs to sit on, and some large expanses of grass as well. There is even a shipwreck you can view!

Little Beach... Big Beach. Little rocks, large rocks, lots of rocks. Waves, trees and more waves then big mf trees. A couple hundred lookouts. Artist loops, old growth trails... I walked 14+km along the Wild Pacific Trail and back, it's all a blur now. My feet hate me but my heart thanks me. Here's a few pictures, I've earned a drink... or two. Peace.

Great place to go for a morning walk. I was there is the storm season. There is a piece of a ship here that has a information plaque on what might have happened to the ship. Lots of places to walk, more of them are easily accessible during low tide. During high tides or storms, less will be accessible or safe to access. For those that have a good sense of balance and are on a bit of the adventurous side, there are rocks that are safer to climb than others. It goes without saying you have to be smart and careful if you...

Really nice beach. Plenty of space to spread out and have some privacy of you want it, a few picnic tables placed around and a small parking lot. Tidal pools, a shipwreck, great views and plenty of sun (if it's not cloudy). It is a pretty exposed beach, so it's not the best on a really windy day... And as usual, be careful exploring out on the rocks... Big waves combined with a rising tide can get you in trouble fast. Rocks can be...
