Pacific Rim Motel — Hotel in Ucluelet

Keep in mind when booking this place that it's a 2 star motel so don't come with a lot of expectations. The room was spacious and included a small eating table for 2, and a mini fridge. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the street it was on was quiet at night. The towels weren't comfy, there was no kleenex, and the pillows were mushy, but again I remind you, this is a 2 star place. We really enjoyed our two night stay. The motel is close to restaurants and stores. The only thing that would have made it better is if they would have had a screen on the window. It was quite hot when we were there and they did not have any fans so we had to rely on leaving the door and window open during the evening to cool the room down. I can't comment on the motel, because we never stayed there - but their reservations system needs some work. We made reservations, and received an email with our reservation confirmation number - but our plans changed, so we called to cancel our reservation - the gentleman who answered the phone took our cancellation request far enough in advance so we shouldn't be charged anything - we've had a few issues with smaller motels and cancellations where we were later charged, so I requested a cancellation email with a cancellation confirmation - and received nothing. Let me tell you why the stay here was great , I’ve stayed at quite a few places in tofino and Ucluelet and let me tell you for what you get this place is amazing ! The owner has been very helpful ( we stayed long term for a job) and the suites have always been clean. If you complain about a little bit of dirt somewhere then you obviously haven’t stayed in half the places here (I’ve seen places out of your nightmare) and in my books from an experienced traveller of this area you can’t beat this place unless your willing to pay an arm a leg and your firstborn for a 5 star hotel otherwise this place is a great clean and convenient place with an owner who actually cares about his...
