Great food truck in downtown Ukee. Friendly staff who really know how to manage a kitchen. Order after order of multiple dishes, never missed a beat. There was a light rain while waiting, but it was absolutely worth it. Ordered the 3 piece fish and fry combo (subbed West Coast Poutine for the fries for an additional fiver - strongly recommend), and the very popular 8 Tiger Prawn skewer with fries. The fish portions are generous and cooked expertly, and the batter is seasoned very well and the dish is extremely delicious and scrumptiously fantastic; one could say scrumtastic. Tiger prawns were also on point (pun intended) and are easy to see why they are so popular. The fries are OK, but are saved by the many seasoning options Jiggers supply on their condiment shelf. The poutine fries are the same bland deep fried fries, but the melted curds and poutine gravy does the heavy lifting to make them yummy. Look no further then Jiggers for lunch or dinner, if one is nearby. It is a bit pricey but portions are generous, and the food is delicious. Highly,...

Was super excited to eat here, the fish looks so good, not to mention it's fresh and local! Staff where super friendly. Prawns where delicious, coleslaw was also great. After trying my first bite of the fish my mouth was actually kind of sad and hit with zero flavour 😢. After eating the first piece I ran out of tartar sauce because there was no flavour, it cost me $1 okay not a big deal but was thinking maybe 50c or something or at least fill it to the top. I have had better fish and chips in restaurants and I won't even mention Pajos. Take away 1 star for flavour and 1 for the extra charge for the tartar sauce. I would like to try the other food on the menu to see if it is as good as these reviews say. I would recommend the shrimp as for the fish and chips I definitely do...

We happened upon Jiggers' food truck our first afternoon exploring Ucluelet. We had supper ready back at our unit, but the line up was so long we were tempted to checked it out. My wife ordered the 2 piece fish and chips and I got the Tiger Prawn meal. Very quickly we were served and decided to eat right there so it would be hot. There was ample outdoor seating. My wife said she had never had such tender and flaky fish, and I enjoyed the prawns which came with coleslaw, fries and dipping sauce. It was delicious and seemed very fresh. I couldn't finish my fries, and my wife couldn't finish her fish as we were both completely full. Ucluelet is magical, and JIggers is one of the reasons for that. We would...

I recently tried the fish and chips here after hearing some good things. The portion size was generous, and everything was served hot and fresh. However, I found the fish to be a bit too crispy for my liking—almost over-crispy, which took away from the flavor and tenderness of the fish itself. The chips were decent, but overall, the dish didn’t quite live up to the expectations. Not bad, but not particularly memorable either.

While in Uclulet this was our first meal. We ordered Prawns and Fish. The order was provided quickly without much wait. There was sitting outside besides the food truck. We saw few people coming for takeaways. The taste was OK nothing too great about. The presentation was good but the taste was a bit bland and too oily for us, while the fries were fresh and the salad was good.
