Langham Place (LP) is the largest shopping mall in Mongkok. Located on Portland Street with direct access to the Mong Kong MTR Station, this is a 15 floor (+ 2 basement levels) mall with 17,000 sq metres of shopping space and over 200 shops and eateries.

LP tends to be most popular with the younger crowd. The first thing that sticks out when visiting is the 83-metre escalator that takes you to the upper floors. There you discover a peculiar corkscrew shaped floor layout which winds up and down in a circular manner. Some find this confusing and obnoxious compared to traditional shopping mall floor layouts. Others find it quirky and fun, a bit like the retail shops you will find at Langham Place.

Where many malls in Hong Kong focus on high-end and luxury brand name retailers, LP tends to stick to the Mongkok vibe and culture, fillings its floors with boutique and youthful shops. Some brand names you will recognise like Marks & Spencer, H&M and the cosmetic brands that line the Level 1 Beauty Avenue. However, there are just as many local and lesser known retailers lining the mall's upper floors.

You'll find a similar range of food and drink venues that includes the likes of Starbucks and McDonalds, local favourites Honeymoon Dessert and Teawood, mixed with lesser known cafes, coffee shops and top floor bar. Langham Place is linked directly to a five star hotel called Cordis where you can find finer dining options and a good lobby bar. There is also a Jason's Marketplace and Cinema at the mall.

Lastly, worth note that LP often puts on interesting holiday and seasonal festival installations in the main foyer, particularly around Chinese New Year. These are often creative and offer a bit of fun for families...

This review is specifically for The Mineral Boutique. I advise you to avoid because they have aggressive selling tactics. A sales lady standing in front of the store really quickly put some paste on my mom’s hands and brought us in store to wash. Later, another sales woman was trying to introduce an 500 USD anti wrinkle eye cream. She brought over the manager (he turned this experience really sour). His attitude for selling the eye cream was forceful and condescending. He remarked that I did not understand the product that “worked” on my mom after 15 minutes. We did not even agree to buy the product but he said “is it money problem? I can help” and shoved his managerial card to one of the workers and told them we will get 20% off. When I remarked that it is a brand I haven’t heard of, he made a snark remark to my mom that I only care about online reviews. He proceeded to shove his wechat messages in my face to show that past clients bought the product twice in full price. He translated it and read it out loud.

Whether it is enthusiasm or conviction in a product, I suggest you do not raise your voice towards your customers and give a...

It’s a very busy but clean shopping mall with food and clothing stores. The decor inside is pretty. I had to do some work on my computer and stayed at a coffee shop to work. We also tried a traditional Hong Kong cha chaan teng in the mall in Dec 2022. But it was closed when we visited HK again in Jan 2023. It was so yummy too! The pastries in Hong Kong bakeries are so cute also. Too pretty to eat. There are many floors and a super long escalator. I was so excited to ride it my first time visiting there, haha! You will see a variety of people, from local businessmen to tourists and families with kids. It’s very close to many hotels and shopping areas in Mong Kok. Our hotel was just blocks away so we came to this mall several times during our stay in HK.

A Unique Shopping Experience in Mong Kok Langham Place is a standout shopping mall in Mong Kok, with its impressive architectural design and diverse range of shops. The escalators are a particular highlight, offering a visually striking way to navigate the different floors. While there are many popular chain stores, the mall also features several unique and interesting local shops. This makes it a great place for tourists to explore and discover something special. The mall is often quite crowded, especially on weekends, so be prepared for a bustling atmosphere. However, the unique shopping experience and impressive design make it well worth a visit.
