Good Place to unwind your thoughts...

This place is clean and quiet not so crowded. But if you’re planning to have a barbecue you must do it around 5 until night time because the area it’s very hot when the sun is up! And it’s easy to get there by walking or bus from Stanley Market just walked through Wong Ma Kok road and you can see the signage on the way there’s a staircase going down. And if by bus ride 14 bus going to Stanley fort get of in st. Stephen primary school then cross the street and walked throughout the school and you can see the beach right away at the end... just prepare some mosquito spray for your protection. But the place is safe and there’s a friendly lifeguard on duty. I hope it could help this to find you more...

Lots of my childhood was spent at this beach. Cleaned it up on so many occasions after typhoons and other big storms would hit. Drove remote controlled cars up and down the pier. Scuffled with my older brother to decide who got thrown in the water. Learned how to play chess and poker here. Kissed my first girlfriend here. "No tongues allowed" my father would yell, in a successful attempt to embarrass me. Learned to sail K1 & K2 boats which lead to more competitiveness between my brother and I. Too many great times to list, but I'm super appreciative that it hasn't changed in 30+years apart from the lifeguard tower. I hope lots of kids get to have some of the many great times I got to experience at this small, but...

There are several beaches near Stanley Village including St. Stephen's Beach located along Wing Ma Kok Road around a 10 minute walk south of the popular Stanley Market. The beach is considerably shorter than the Main Beach but includes basic facilities including public toilets, changing rooms, BBQ pits, two lifeguard stations and a water sports centre.

The sand and swimming conditions at St. Stephen's Beach are good. There are a couple trees on the beach but otherwise very little in the form of shade. Overall, it is nice supplemental beach for those looking for something more intimate and secluded compared to the Main Beach nearer to the...

The quiet side away from Stanley beach. Don't expect it to be empty though, there's still a small crowd. But the sand area is farther away from water so you get more “room” and feel less crowded in general. Make sure you bring your own food and drinks there tho, the shop there is not opened all the time. If you're there in the late afternoon, you'll be able to catch the sunset like I did.

A small beach in any standard, it even feels like it's at the corner of Stanley. The public parking is on a dead end street, hence it's very crowded during the bathing season. Having said that, the water is crystal clear in Dec. Just by checking out its water quality, I thought I was in Thailand's pristine beaches for a minute.
