My second visit to Nojo in Central was a delightful rediscovery—especially as a new go-to spot after the closures of Liberty and Sevva. The cozy, chill vibe here makes it perfect for unwinding after work! 🍹We kicked off with two refreshing mocktails: the Tsukada Fruit Tea (orange juice, pineapple juice, lychee, black tea) and the Yuzu Mango Mule (yuzu honey, mango puree, ginger beer, lime, cucumber). Both were delicious and set the tone for the evening. Our starters included comforting 🥟Boiled Dumplings with sesame sauce, 🦀the Crab Paste Toast bursting with concentrated crab umami (a personal favorite), 🥬Stir-fried Pork Belly & Spinach with nuts, and the flavorful 🐙Oyster & Octopus Okonomiyaki. 🍢A standout surprise was the Deep-fried Quail Egg & Daikon Oden—my first time trying quail eggs with daikon in a crispy twist. Absolutely delicious! 🍜The highlight was the Signature Soy Sauce Ramen: chewy noodles, succulent slow-cooked chicken drumstick, tasty fried bullock, all swimming in a rich, deeply flavorful broth that stole the show. 🥩To finish, the Salt-Baked Wagyu was the star of the night—perfectly cooked with a beautiful pink center and a subtle salted seasoning that elevated this premium cut. 💦Their NORDAQ Premium Water Free-Flow Sparkling Water at just $15—a healthy, great-value addition to the meal. 🍻Nojo truly nails the balance of great food and a relaxed atmosphere, making it my new favorite after-work hangout in Central! ———— Discovering Hidden Gems in Central: NOJO Izakaya I recently stumbled upon an amazing izakaya in Central that left me both chilled and impressed with its creativity and exceptional value for money. This ramen + izakaya venue offers both indoor bar seating and alfresco dining options along the stone paved Pottinger Street, creating a perfect setting for a relaxed meal. 🍸Pistachio Martini My first pistachio martini, and it exceeded expectations. The dessert-like martini is delicious, nutty and creamy that is really easy to drink! 💚 🦀Crab Paste Toast (蟹肉醬麵包): This appetizer filled with concentrated crab umami and aroma. Paired with crispy toast, the taste is sweet and delicious. 🥘Oyster & Octopus Okonomiyaki (牡蠣同八爪魚大阪燒餅) This perfectly sized okonomiyaki was a delight, packed with the flavors of oyster and the chewiness of octopus. It was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. 🥬Stir-fried Pork Belly & Spinach with Nuts (雜錦豆炒豚腩肉菠菜) The pork belly paired with vegetables and mixed beans, tasty, fragrant and very appetizing. 🐂Japanese Wagyu Tartar (鹽味拌生牛肉) This fresh interpretation of tartar was elevated by the addition of lime, red pepper, and herbs, creating a zesty and refreshing experience. 🥩Salt-Baked Wagyu (和牛鹽釜焼) The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the tableside served Salt-Baked Wagyu. It was my first time trying a Wagyu beef version of salt-baked cuisine. The texture is crispy on the outside and tender inside. The meat is juicy and with a subtle hint of salted seasoning to the premium Wagyu. 🍜 Soy Sauce Ramen (鶏白湯醤油ラーメン) This signature ramen stole the show. The noodles were delightfully chewy, the chicken drumstick was succulent, and the fried bullock was tasty, but what truly made it stand out was the rich and flavorful soup. Wish I had more space in my stomach to indulge in these treats! Next on my list: I’m eager to try the Wagyu Ramen (鶏清湯和牛ラーメン) and Vanilla Ice Cream with Marutani Soy Sauce (バニラアイス 丸谷醤油ソース) when I visit again.

This was my first time coming here for dinner. I have done my researched and looked through several photos before deciding to make my appointment. I went there on a Wednesday night at 6:30PM. During that time, there were already a few customers chilling outside at the front outdoor area as well as a few more groups on the inside of the dinning area enjoying their early meals. The decor is simple, at the front you have a nice outdoor space accompanied by a few tables all around for you to enjoy the outdoors with your mates. once you enter the wooden dinning cabin, it feels quite nice and cozy. There are 3 sections; a long large bench table on the left, the table in the middle that face the ramen chefs and another table facing the bartender. Their decor is quite minmal I would say, really helps keep conversations flowing, the music is there but not too loud. The food was pretty good, but I would say it is quite expensive if you feel like you will eat a lot. However, their ramen do rangs from around $100-$150. I had their Mince chicken meatballs Tsukemen. I have really missed my dipping noodles. This costed $148. But was it worth $148? I would say not exactly. Look don't get me wrong, the chicken meat balls were decent, the soup was well flavored but not as strong as I thought it would be. Though what really shined for me were the noodles. The texture of those thick noodles, soaking up that thick broth. The broth is also accompanied by a glass of water, for those who desire the soup to be less thick. I also had a size of their smoked salmon with potato salad topped with salmon roe, but the menu had no photos at all other than their special beef menu. I was shocked with it's size when it arrived because of how much they costed. I think it was about $60-$70 for a plate of pcs. Did they taste good, yeah they were alright. Was it worth it for me, not really. but you can have a try. I also had their Ginger fried chicken which was bomb, the flavor was good but not that special. they weren't as crispy as I imagined they would be but they were damnn juicy though. The juice bursting out between the meat was flavorful and succulent. It was nice to try but I don't think I would order it again, there were 5-6 pcs, each piece looked like half a wing sized. and that costed about $80-$90 I also ordered a plate of their Konbu cured salmon, it was ok. I didn't really understand how to appreciate cured fish yet so it wasn't really my thing and that costed about $120 for a plate of 5-7 slices. Overall we did order a lot of dishes in my opinion, I was quite full at the end but our bill came to a total of about $730(I only order 1 ginger ale that costed around $50) (including service charge) I would say special occasion, lonely ramen sessions, chill night with your mates, this is a nice spot.

[NOJO Ramen x Izakaya] NOJO Ramen x Izakaya is the sibling eatery of Tsukada NOJO, the place features a sleek contemporary vibes, with Japanese tradition and culture meets nouveau flavours. Explore the menu, it offers more than ramen, but also a neat selection of izakaya treats. Located in the Pottinger Street in Central, the place divided into the indoor and outdoor areas. The indoor space with an open kitchen and bar seatings, and a large communal table at the centre to create a more interactive atmosphere, while the alfresco area is ideal for pre or post dinner drinks with some Izakaya bites. Assorted Sashimi 3 kinds (HK$218) Three assorted Sashimi, including salmon, tuna and snapper, served with the hand-filtered miso soy sauce for extra flavour. Konbu Cured Salmon (HK$118) The salmon slices were cured between two sheets of konbu, making the salmon infused with the subtle flavour of the seaweed. Potato Salad w/ Smoked Salmon and Salmon Roe (HK$68) The bite sized salmon rolls are stuffed simply with potato salad, the combination produces a nice bonus burst of flavour and added a touch of fusion. Rock’n Tonic (HK$98) The sake based cocktail composed with Roku Gin, Tonic Water, Lime, Yuzu, Green Tea and Rosemary. Soy Sauce Ramen (HK$138) This bowl of ramen is a total flavour bomb, filled with a rich, flavourful chicken broth, a tendered chicken drumstick, and topped with the soft boiled egg and the deep fried burdocks. The chicken broth was rich in flavour and left a soy sauce flavour aftertaste, the noodle was cooked to a perfect texture with just enough balance of chewy. Overnight Sake Lees, Soy and Ginger Marinated Fried Chicken (HK$88) The crispy fried chicken was the perfect accompaniment with sake or any alcoholic beverage. Bagna Cauda In Kyoto Style ((HK$78) This is the Kyoto Style Bagna Cauda, the melted cheese with miso served hot for dipping fresh raw veggies. Cloudy Forest (HK$98) This cloudy white cocktail was mixed with Roku Gin, Nigori Sake, Umeshu, Apple Juice and Rosemary. 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 🏠NOJO 📍Shop 5 & Open Space, G/F, The Steps H Code, 45 Pottinger Street, Central
