I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at jeon po meat and I can confidently say it’s one of the best Korean BBQ experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and buzzing with energy—perfectly blending modern vibes with that cozy, authentic Korean feel. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and were incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, making us feel like VIPs. The menu is a dream for any BBQ lover. We started with an assortment of banchan (side dishes), and each one was a burst of flavor—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The kimchi was hands-down some of the best I’ve ever tasted, with just the right balance of spice and tanginess. But the real star of the show was the meat. Oh my goodness, the quality was unreal! We ordered the marinated galbi (short ribs) and the samgyeopsal (pork belly), and both were melt-in-your-mouth tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Grilling it ourselves at the table added such a fun, interactive element to the meal, and the staff was quick to assist whenever we needed help. The sauces deserve a special shoutout—especially the ssamjang, which paired so perfectly with the grilled meats and fresh lettuce wraps. They even brought out extra mushrooms and garlic to grill alongside everything, which elevated the experience to a whole new level. And don’t get me started on the japchae—it was the perfect mix of sweet and savory, with noodles cooked to perfection. What really stood out, though, was how fresh everything tasted. You can tell they source top-quality ingredients and put so much care into every detail. The portions were generous, too—we left feeling completely satisfied but not overly stuffed, which is a rare balance to strike. To top it all off, the service was impeccable. Our server checked on us just the right amount, refilled our drinks without us even asking, and even gave us tips on how to make the perfect ssam (wrap). The price was more than fair for the quality and quantity of food we got—I’d happily pay even more for an experience this good. If you’re looking for authentic Korean...

The star of the show was definitely the beef short ribs (sogalbi), which I would highly recommend as a must-order dish. The meat was perfectly grilled - crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy on the inside, with a wonderful buttery flavor that melted in the mouth. The beef belly (samgyeopsal) was equally impressive, with the staff expertly grilling away much of the fat, leaving it crispy and slightly sweet.

What impressed me most was the incredible array of banchan (side dishes) that completely covered our table before the main courses even arrived. The kimchi and rice cakes were particularly delicious, and all sides were freshly prepared and flavorful.

The service was exceptional - Korean staff members handled all the grilling for us, so we could simply enjoy the food and conversation. The portions were extremely generous; in fact, we were completely stuffed by the end of our meal.

I also tried their naengmyeon (cold noodles), which pairs perfectly with the rich BBQ flavors, offering a refreshing contrast. The dolsot bibimbap (stone pot mixed rice) was excellent too - warm and comforting with perfectly cooked beef.

One delightful surprise was the egg soufflé, which arrived bubbling hot with cheese and butter, creating an irresistibly rich and fluffy texture.

Having originated in Tai Kok Tsui, this restaurant has now expanded to multiple locations across Hong Kong, including Central and Wan Chai. I'd recommend making a reservation, especially for weekend dinners, as the tantalizing aroma wafting from the entrance makes it a popular spot with long queues.

Overall, this Korean BBQ restaurant offers an authentic experience with premium quality meat, attentive service, and generous portions. It's perfect for gatherings with friends or family, though be prepared to leave completely satisfied and possibly unable to...

Celebrated my friend’s birthday here. Brought the birthday cake to the restaurant ahead of our dinner. Amazing atmosphere, feels like in Korea. They had staff grilling the meat set you’ve ordered. Local staff need more education on communicating with customers. Could have asked about our preferences on meat doneness. Pork was not cooked long enough and beef had over cooked. Not necessary in Hong Kong but it would be better in terms of service.

Asked another local waiter to fire our Birthday cake. Didn’t expect that he came to our table and asked if we would like to add their extra Bday service (Blacked out restaurant with lighting accessories and b day song BGM) with extra charge in front of everyone tho it was supposed to be a surprise. We have decided not to cuz the experience had pretty much ruined at that point.

Eventually they had left the dessert cutleries on our table and brought out the cake with the original packaging. We had to unpack the cake by ourselves and celebrate our friend’s birthday in quite an awkward way.

Not sure if that’s a standard in Hong Kong or I have missed out any important messages for the restaurant, but I had never experienced anything closed to their arrangement. Everything does comes with a price in Hong Kong for their hospitality I guess. I totally agree with any cake charge but not with such a poor handling. Quite disappointed with the service although they have great design...

We had heard a lot of this place and got an early dinner booking at 530pm. It was a good time to come because it was not very busy yet it was already quite noisy due to the very loud music. We ordered the set A dinner which (for us) was probably a bit too much food, especially because we also ordered the omelette. The set A came with beef rib and pork in the first round, then pork belly and pork skin in the second round. The staff cook and prepare all the meat, which is great. The first round of meat was excellent. I wasn’t so keen on the pork belly or pork skin. There is also a generous array of sides. We really enjoyed the omelette, which I would choose again. I also recommend taking an apron from the entrance, because when the meat is cooked, there is a bit of oil splatter (we were only two people, so luckily did not sit in front of the grill pan). I would come again but will try some other dishes. I think the Set A while they say it is for 2 people is better for 4 people (and then you can order other dishes too).

One of the Korean restaurants in Hong Kong whose theme really feels like in Korea. I ordered the pork set and they can also grill the meat at the same time. The meat is very juicy and crunchy. Highly recommend this restaurant also ,Korean restaurant offers a delightful array of authentic dishes, from savory bulgogi to flavorful kimchi. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal Came here on a weekend lunch amazing pork which the staff here grilled perfectly. The banchan here was exceptional and had a large variety. No wonder there’s always a queue in the evening. Good vibes for dining and drinking with friends.and than The cold noodles at this Korean restaurant are an absolute must-try! The chewy buckwheat noodles in the icy broth are incredibly refreshing, while the tender beef and crisp cucumber add the perfect balance. The hint of tangy mustard ties it all together—it’s light, flavorful, and utterly satisfying. A true delight!
