Union Church — Attraction in Hong Kong

My home away from home for 10 year and going. Union is an incredibly welcoming and warm family. It's suitable for all ages. There's a wonderfully organised children's ministry, where there is Sunday school at the 9:45 and 11:15 services. The youth ministry is even more brilliant. We have a youth class on Wednesday night at Recharge, 7:00-9:00. Dinner and worship is before the lesson. Friday youth group, 6:00-8:00 for 11-13 & 7-9 for 14-18. Dinner also included. Friday youth is more fun and games compared to Recharge which is a Bible study class. There is also Sunday school for youth at 9:45 & 11:15 in the top floor of Hotel Indigo, which is across the street from Sunlight tower. There are also confirmation classes for those who desire. There is also a young adults ministry. With classes on Wednesday Recharge and meet ups and fun events. Wednesday Recharge has other classes for everyone to join. A late review for this place. I wanted to hold my wedding ceremony here. I checked their website and first whatsapp chatted with their correspond staff in 14 June 2017. I was told that the church is under construction, and I asked if she can send me photos of the new place, will it be ready before my wedding date (Jan 2018), how's the rental fee & asked for her advice if I should sumbit the application form for now She only replied me the redevelopment will be ready in Sep 2017 & sent me drawings of the new place. She also promised that she'll send me photos of the new place when the redevelopment is done & will let me know if they decided the rental fee on 7 July, 2017. But then I have never heard from her.

The disappointment was that I had to chase for the answers of my questions and she didn't advise whether I can submit the application. Yet she didn't mentioned a bit about the tradition/procedure of holding a wedding ceremony in their place, not even memtioned abt it or send me a link to access to that piece of...

I originally thought of meeting more people building more connections here. The choir singing has also been a draw to me. I did made very good friends here, but what I treasure the most is I don't feel judged here. People have shown tolerance and mercy to me, seniors taking me under their wing, mentoring me, providing me very good role models on showing kindness to others, and on leadership. I was surprised that many youths do show appreciation on what I do. And putting down oneself serving others, though hard and sometimes criticized and not appreciated, did bring joy and sense of achievement to me. I learn a lot on how to love, how to manage conflicts here. We did have disagreement and division and hard time, but we all go through learnings, right.
