During a leisurely exploration of the enchanting region that inspired the movie "Encanto" in Salento, Colombia, my friends and I decided to start our food journey at Coco Bowl, an unexpected gem that left us thoroughly impressed. Despite my craving for bacon, I was intrigued by this vegan and vegetarian haven and decided to give it a try. And what a fantastic decision that was!
I indulged in a Tropical Bowl and savored the unique combination of hummus, avocado and beetroot toast, which was simply divine. My friend opted for an açai bowl among other delightful selections. Every dish was a revelation, bursting with flavor and freshness that had us ordering seconds. The joy of sharing these culinary treats only added to our wonderful experience. I also loved the little jars of spices and herbs.

Read moreI had breakfast three times at Coco Bowl during my 1 week stay in Salento. Whether you are vegan/gluten-free or have food intolerances, you will find something here. Imagine enjoying your açaí bowl while watching the buzz in town from a distance. Coco House is a small cafe at the edge of town right with an inspiring story.
I had the acai bowl, which was HUGE (8/10) the beetroot hummus (9/10) and the Oat bowl (8/10). They hardly use any sugar - even though Im used to eating little sugar, for me it was too little taste so I asked for a sirup.
✅ Opening Hours 8 - 16.30 daily ✅ Cafe is fully vegan and organic = highest quality. Food is prepared with love ❤️ ✅ Breakfast dishes includes home made avocado-toast (sourdough), hummus, tofu scrambled eggs, sweet bowls, traditional oat meal bowl & smoothies ✅They serve almond and oat milk - I personally preferred the option with more fat (almond milk) ✅ Card payment without 5% fee
❎ They only offer cold brew coffee, which is less acidy and has a smoother taste. You'll not find latte or capuchino ❎At this point, they dont offer dinner. ❎Would love to see fruit salad on menu ❎Peanut butter doesn’t mix well with cold choco or acai bowl. I suggest using a more liquid alternative.
