Close to the town centre and main square. The terrace was also very pleasant.
The room had thin wooden shutters opening directly on to a street which is used by people to get to a popular viewing point in Salento. As a result, the room is subject to a lot of noise.
Furthermore, the listing advertised use of a jacuzzi. On check in, we were told there were slots to use the jacuzzi. Unfortunately, there were no slots available for us until the morning. Not ideal if you’re heading out early for a day trip. This should be clearly stated in the listing.
Value for money
We paid £100 for a very small room (double bed, nowhere to sit, or store luggage). This is the sort of price I would expect to pay for a hotel in London. To provide some perspective, whilst in Salento, we stayed at a budget hostel (£30 per night) and Terrazas de Salento (£80 per night, directly opposite to Cocli Hotel). Terrazas de Salento had a balcony, was huge, and had amazing views from the room. Even with the complimentary massage at Cocli Hotel, we feel fair value would have been somewhere in the middle, possibly £60.
I did revisit the listing on booking.com and the room size was stated. A lesson to myself to look more closely next time.

Read moreWe stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Smooth check in/out. Rooms are very secure and well kitted out with L’Occitaine in the bathroom. Very clean with comfortable beds. Up a slight hill but away from the noise of the centre. The breakfasts are so delicious and the patio where you have them overlooks the mountains. Great coffee, too. Included in our booking was a complimentary cocktail, daily Jacuzzi use and a 30 minute massage - all excellent. Easy to contact the staff through WhatsApp. You can also arrange all your tours through the hotel if you wish. Good WiFi. You can leave your bags in reception after check out if needed. Sad to leave this...
Read moreI highly recommend you to book a room in Cocli! It will be the cherry on the cake of your trip to Salento! First of all, people are so lovely, welling to help for every thing (muchas gracias!!). The delicacy of the decoration and confort of the rooms is a perfect combo to relax in a nice place. The weather was just raining all day in Salento during my 3 days. The rooms were cosy and confortable which was great to just open the window and read the book in the bed. You have a 30-minutes massage for welcome gift! Breakfast is qualitative, fresh and quantitative. The hotel is located in a quite street on the side of the town, however only 2 minutes walk from the Main Street. Once again, thanks for...
