Monteverde Travel and Adventure — Attraction in Monteverde

We did a private bird (and nature) tour in Curi-Cancha Reserve in the morning and Felix was our guide. The tour was excellent and we saw many different birds but also other animals like monkeys and a sloth. Felix is an extraordinary guide with a great interest in birds and also knows a lot about flora and fauna. He speaks good english and is eager to answer any questions. He is very enthusiastic and explains things in an understandingly way. He also helped us taking photos and videos through his telescope. We higly recommend Felix.

We booked the trip by Monteverde Travel, used Whats Up to communicate, Bernardo Pacheca helped us in an excellent way to organize this tour. The tour was 90$ per person. The entrance to the reserve (20$) is payed on site (credit cards accepted)

We did a private birding tour, and it was outstanding. Our guide, Adrian Mendez, had been recommended in birding forums, and I can see why. Thanks to his expert knowledge and skill, we saw 53 species of birds in a half day tour! The birds themselves were of course spectacular, including a quetzal, bellbirds, toucans and toucanettes, and many many hummingbirds. We also saw several mammals and some lizards, which Adrian happily set up the scope for. Our kids loved it, kids need to be patient and genuinely interested in the birds for this to work for them. Adrian also took fantastic photos for us through the scope, and gave us tips to improve how we ID birds. Don't miss out on this amazing experience! We did the bird watching tour in the Curi Cancha Reserve with Felix and it was so memorable. Felix is incredibly knowledgeable about all things nature - from bugs to birds - and has a great eye and ear. He could identify every bird based on just sound alone. He knew all the hot spots and helped us find every bird on our list. He has about 2 decades worth of experience and it really shows. We felt lucky to be led by him.
