Gradac Park is a serene, tree-lined park located on a hill just west of Dubrovnik’s Old Town in Croatia. Known for its peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea and Lovrijenac Fortress, it offers a relaxing escape from the city’s busy streets. The park is historically significant, having been established in the late 19th century, and features winding paths, shaded areas, and benches perfect for enjoying the coastal scenery. Gradac Park also gained international recognition as a filming location for Game of Thrones, specifically for the Purple Wedding scene where King Joffrey...

For any tourist tired of the crowding near the city gate, this park offers a respite only a 10 minute walk away. When I was there, it was virtually deserted apart from a few locals, yet it offers great views and plenty of shade.

The park itself is nothing special - a small water pool, some faux roman ruins and plenty of shade - but a nice place to relax.

To the left of the parking lot in front of the park, a bench can be found hidden behind some bushes on the cliff side with a great view of...

Come for the views. Stay for the insightful murals. Dubrovnik visitors risk missing this gem if they don’t try hard enough. The bluff overlooks a stellar “beach,” while the trails offer endless spots to open a book and read the day away amid Dubrovnik’s typically magical backdrops. Each winding path offers a different surprise. Or walk down to the beach for a swim in the sea....

Dubrovnik aka Kings Landing in a snap. ✨SAVE LIST for your next trip✨ 🫰🇭🇷🧝🏻‍♀️🐉 🏰 This was my first time visiting Croatia and I already can’t wait to go back! As a huge GOT’s fan, getting to explore the real King’s Landing was so cool! Coming to this destination was also very special as Game of Thrones was my mom @bitajoonie & I’s favorite show and we used to watch together every week. She’d never let me skip the intro since she would hum the song & loved the melody before every episode, it was so cute. It’s bittersweet to think she never got to see the GOT finale as she left us too soon, but I’m sure she wouldn’t be happy anyway as Khaleesi was her favorite! IYKYK 😉 Visiting all the famous spots made me miss and think of her so much, she would have loved it here! In her honor I’ve complied a list of top instagrammable & GOT spots I’ve visited where scenes from the show were filmed: 🔅City Walls ⚜️Gradac Park 🔅Fort Lovrijenac ⚜️West Harbour and Pier 🔅Kolorina Bay/Pile Bay ⚜️Pile Gate 🔅Bokar Fort ⚜️Rupe Ethnographic Museum 🔅The Jesuit Staircase ⚜️The Rectors Palace 🔅St. Dominic’s Street  ⚜️The Stradun 🔅Ploče Gate ⚜️Minčeta Tower 🔅Lokrum Island ⚜️Trsteno Arboretum 🔅Hotel Bevedere ⚜️SRD Hill 📍TELL ME: Are you a GOT fan? What was your favorite scenes from the show? Mine was between Joffrey dying, Khaleesi trading her dragon for the Unsullied then busting out in Valyrian, or when Sam first kills the white walker with dragon glass! #LATGxGOT #croatia #dubrovnik #GOT #gameofthrones #kingslanding
