One star is even too much for this place. Today, 20th September, part of my family (elderly and a baby and his mother) sat on the outside part of this restaurant as they were not doing the city tour. They ordered some food and drinks while waiting for us. Soon a storm arrived and we have to finished our tour before scheduled and headed to the restaurant to find our family, get shelter and something to drink. It was about mid-day. They told us we have to order food in order to drink. We order fries and was not good enough so we just stand up and surrounded the already accommodated table of our family as outside it was pouring with rain. People start showing up, siting and asking for drinks-food but somehow they deliver nothing to anybody. They were closed it seems. Many people were looking for shelter and a service which was absent. Suddenly they starting closing the umbrellas. Those umbrellas have a piece of fabric intended to collect water. The waiter started dismantling those without warning people who where below the umbrellas. One lady was soaked wet with about 3 liters of rain water. The waiter was even doing that with a smile on his face, definitely enjoying the situation. Many people including ourselves got furious. They continue with the smile and we have to evacuate the place with 4 +65 yo and a 1,5 yo. We have to wait about bus to arrive under the rain with the baby because they didn’t want to provide service. We started filming a video of the situation and a waitress tray to take our phone. One of the worse situations I have to deal with. The stuff are completely incompetent and extremely rude. You can’t even call them people. Wish...
Read moreService: poor. Quality of the food: poor to regular. Sincerely this place only offers the location or spot where they are at. We were received very friendly by a lady hostess, we were hungry so we said “why not?”. To our surprise the waiter took our order and then once we were served with food, we never saw him again until I had to ask the hostess for the bill. The food was not warm enough, and not good enough. You can eat it but there’s no love in the way they prepare it. Moreover, the waiter never checked on us or asked “is everything ok?”, until I had to ask the hostess for the bill. Prices: if you think 47€ for 1 spaghetti 🍝 bolognese and one Cevapcici with 2 soft drinks are ok for this kind of service, then go ahead. Another observation: they were playing radio music from Spotify but not the premium version: it was the Spotify version for free with advertising in between while you’re trying to have a relaxing dinner. Dubrovnik has offered us excellent service wherever we go, unfortunately this place was...
Read moreWe dined at this restaurant for a small snack before we set out exploring for the day.
The restaurant is in a great location. It is literally directly outside the walled pile gate entrance.
This area can get busy as a lot of tools start here so it’s a great place to sit in people watch .
We had some lovely weather and this place seems to get the sun all day.
The service was very friendly we were served by Adriane a lovely young gentleman who was very polite and friendly
We ordered a tuna, Tatare and calamari and chips. The portions are very big
And the food was extremely fresh and delicious
I would definitely recommend bringing some cash here as there is no opportunity when paying by card to be able to leave a tip at the same time for the waiters or waitresses.
The toilets were clean and I would highly reccomend this place.
I’m glad I didn’t look at the reviews as they could have potentially put me off but we were...
