Amalie Garden is a public park located in central Copenhagen, Denmark. The park is named after Queen Amalie, the wife of King Christian VIII, and was opened to the public in 1983.

The park covers an area of approximately 10,000 square meters and features a variety of gardens, lawns, and water features. The centerpiece of the park is a large fountain that is surrounded by flower beds and sculptures. The park also includes several walking paths, benches, and picnic areas, making it a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.

In addition to its beautiful gardens and water features, Amalie Garden also offers stunning views of Copenhagen's historic waterfront. From the park, visitors can see the iconic Opera House, the Royal Palace of Amalienborg, and the famous Little Mermaid statue, all of which are located nearby.

Amalie Garden is open to the public year-round and admission is free. The park is a popular spot for picnics, family outings, and leisurely strolls, and it is also a popular location for outdoor concerts and events throughout the year.

Overall, Amalie Garden is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Copenhagen who is looking for a peaceful and scenic outdoor escape in the heart...

Amaliehaven (English: The Amalie Garden) is a small park located between Amalienborg Palace and the waterfront in the Frederiksstaden neighbourhood of central Copenhagen, Denmark. Amaliehaven is a rectangular park built to a stringent, symmetrical design centred on a large fountain to respect and accentuate the Frederiksgade axis which unifies the entire area. On both sides of the central fountain, the gardens continue on two levels, with shrubs and walls enclosing it from the waterfront on one side and the street...

Amaliehaven is located nearby well-known Amalienborg castle. This park is very nice and calm and perfect for resting or reading a book. You can find there fountains and a lots of green and numerous beautiful trees and flowers. What is interesting in this park they are located four columns and fountain sculptured by Italian artist Arnaldo Pomodoro which look like parts of set design for...

Every year we walk from Nyhavn all the way to the Lille Havsfrue, which means that stopping by Amalieborg is inevitable. The fountains, the castle and the sea deserve a few pictures, plus from this position you have a unique opportunity to see a "cross-section" of Danish society: kirke (Frederik's Church), kong (the Amalieborg) and kultur (the opera house).

It's nice to see yet in November not as colourful as in spring or summer. Also the fountain was not working. But one thing for sure, if you pass by, you have to take a hot drink at the mobile Kaffe Dronet. I personally took the chai latte and the hot chocolate (it has small marshmallows in). The woman is very friendly and you can pay by card.

Very open and has beautiful views all around this garden. It's situated in downtown, close to all the shops and stores, making it an ideal location to just hang out and relax. Lots of contemporary structures around the garden whereas across the street, you have buildings employing historical architectural styles.
