La liberté — Restaurant in Paris

I ate here for lunch twice during my trip to Paris, once alone the other time with a friend. Each experience was throughly enjoyable. My first meal I had the bleu burger and my friend had the duck confit and we shared the burrata (pictured), our server was Maxime and when I tell you he stole our hearts a little, I mean it. He’s partially the reason I went back! He was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu that he made the overall experience better. The next time I went back I had the duck confit (pictured) and no lie, it was the best duck I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I highly recommend this place for lunch or even if you just want to stop in for a drink. I don’t know how or why this place only has 3 stars. As a person from the US where service standards are pretty high, we received nothing but above average service here. I am extremely picky about my food, and we had breakfast lunch and dinner here… loved it every single time.

It became our go to place every single day. The waitstaff was attentive, fast, and very friendly. The happy hour here is THE BEST in the area and their breakfast includes an omelette for seriously only 13 euro! Brasserie à EVITER, si vous voulez être reçu aimablement et non pas avec impolitesse, comme un "chien dans un jeu de quilles". Depuis plusieurs années nous y allons, de temps à autre, après nos représentations théâtre, le soir, ou avant, après avoir pensé à réserver à l'avance (surtout quand nous sommes nombreux). Bien souvent nous arrivons en nombre et arrivons toujours à nous assoir, après quelques démêlés à chaque fois, avec certains serveurs. Mais bon ...🙄 Mais alors hier, c'était le pompon!!!! Nous sommes arrivés à 15 au lieu de 10, vers 22h00. Il y avait largement de la place à l'intérieur et les tables étaient prêtes à accueillir de nouveaux clients, c'est à dire qu'il n'y avait pas à desservir. Un jeune serveur, malaimable et incompétent, nous a fait ressortir à l'extérieur, sous la pluie, en nous disant que c'était à lui de nous installer. Certes, nous voulons bien accepter le fait qu'il veuille nous placer, bien que le coin où nous nous étions assis pouvait nous recevoir tous. Nous faire relever et nous faire sortir, en nous demandant dattendre dehors, avec irrespect, alors quil n'y avait aucune queue à l'intérieur et que ce n'était plus du tout les heures de pointe, je nai encore jamais vu ça!!!😡 Cette brasserie n'est pas accueillante du tout. Ils ont un tel turn over qu'il n'y a aucun respect pour le client de manière generale. Quand nous sommes partis, le serveur nous a dit "pas grave on aura d'autres clients!!!". Et bien salut! Et sans regret! Il y a d'autres brasseries autour qui ne demandent qu'à avoir des clients. Nous nous sommes donc tous réfugiés à la brasserie "LA BOHEME", un peu peu plus loin, dont l'accueil, la rapidité, l'efficacité sont au top!!! Et de plus nous avons très bien bien dîné🤩 A bon...
