This restaurant has something very special, is inside and around a tower which was build around the year 1346, the tower was used to protect the city at that time, today this tower at Frankfurt downtown and you can test great international food.
Inside the tower, the space is reduced and there is space for the bar and few tables but as mentioned previously around the tower they have tables too, either you want to enjoy good food inside or outside the atmosphere of the place is really nice.
What not everybody know is that in this restaurant if you have a bigger event or special occasion you can make a reservation of what they call „Kaminzimmer“ this place is at the top of the tower and has much more space and is really nice to enjoy your drinks and food at the top of the tower.
The food that I recommend is the one on hot stones, I love the stakes, prawns or chicken but they have great salads, pasta, pizza, etc. for drinks as well they have a big selection of wines and cocktails.
On regards price i think you pay for what you get that is a great experience, moment and good food and drinks.
The staff is friendly just in crowded ours somethings you need to wait a little bit to get serve.
If you are near to Frankfurt and you are looking for a special place where to enjoy good food and drinks don’t hesitate to visit the Eschenheimer Turn restaurant you...

The Eschenheimer Tor is a place in Frankfurt am Main on the northern edge of the city center, about 400 meters north of the Hauptwache.
The square was built around 1810 when the city fortification which was built in 1333 was demolished as well as its baroque bastions and the the fortification ring was conversed into a green area. In its center stands the preserved, most representative gate tower of the Gothic city wall, the Eschenheimer Turm (it was built Klaus Mengoz and Madern Gerthener, 1400-1428). The building srrounding the square dates from the 1950s. In the middle of the square, inaccessible to pedestrians, is a fountain designed by Hermann Goepfert in 1968.
If you look at the top of the tower, u will see a flag with nine holes. It is a well-known legend in Frankfurt am Main. The legend is about a poacher of the 16th century who was imprisoned in Eschenheimer Turm for nine days. He is said to have escaped the death penalty by shooting the number 9 in the weather flag of the tower. The truth content of the saga can not be ascertained. Today it is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and serveral very...
Read moreAs a local, I am disappointed.
Went there for drinks last night with friends and saw a table that we wanted to sit at. Asked if we could sit and were told we could after the table was cleaned. We waited and right as the table was finished a different waitress came and told us we couldn’t sit there and we should sit somewhere else (not in a friendly way). After a short back and forth she was annoyed and told us to sit. We then proceeded to consume our beverages but were cut short when she started cleaning up our table mid drinks. When we asked to pay she said it was 23€. As I gave her the card to scan she looked at me and had the AUDACITY to say “how much will MY total be?”. She actually expected a tip after that horrendous service, absolutely unprofessional.
Also, as a local we didn’t go because it’s by the tower but just to try the bar as the tower is not considered anything special. It is unfortunate that the service is so bad. Also, there are a LOT of MICE there. They are small but there are lots of them. (Most are in the back by the swingy chair...
