The poor animals are kept in such horrible conditions, they polar bear looks like it is struggling and the cages are very dirty. Also most of the enclousures are not very accsesible and most of them are empty or filled with pigeons, very dissapointed with this zoo, it's really beautiful and calm, but the animals are kept in really poor conditions. The satff was pretty rude too.

I only visited this zoo to see the beautiful architecture, but l soon became aware that it's not so appropriate to house these poor elephants and more in captivity here today.

El Elephant House es uno de los lugares más visitado del país, no solo por los animales y plantas sino por tratarse de un espacio de recreación. Es uno de los zoo más antiguos del mundo. Es de estilo románico, finalizada su construcción en 1912 Hay escritura Braille para los ciegos y los pasillos son accesibles con silla de ruedas. Hay una zona de entretenimientos con el tren de la cueva , la montaña rusa, el castillo encantado, etc para el disfrute de familias y niños.
