This was my first time eating Langos and what better way to do it than in Hungary 😍👌 I am also glad I chose this place. It's been around since 1911. It seemed like they were supposed to know how to make it and I was right?! Crispy, delicate and warm it was heaven and love at first bite. I'm a vegetarian so I chose the veggie one. I also don't eat gluten if I can choose but I had to make the sacrifice once here and I do not regret it one bit!! My partner chose ham and cheese. He said it was really good! I also enjoyed the birds that poked around on the ground eating the scraps and crumbles. They weren't annoying at all. It said on the tables not to feed them but I gave them some treats anyway. I broke the rules oops 🫣😋 but I was on vacay 😁 it was quite enjoyable to watch. If you're looking for a tasty langos and with ok price go here 👍one big minus though is that they put ca 2000 huf extra in various service charges but you still had to pay and collect your food yourself. They didn't bring it out to you. Other than that......
Read moreSince landing in Budapest, we’ve sampled lángos at no fewer than eight spots, but hands down, Ligeti Lángos—highly recommended by Stuffed Cabbage Adventures—took the crown as the absolute best.
This traditional Hungarian fried dough, a beloved street food staple made from yeast dough and often topped with savoury delights, shines here in its historic pavilion in City Park near the Széchenyi Baths. The Amerikai hot dog hit the spot too, juicy and satisfying, while the mini Lángos donuts dusted with cocoa were a sweet, yummy surprise. What really stood out was their mulled wine, warm and infused with spices, offering a refreshing, flavorful complement to all the hearty eats in the cozy...
Read moreI'll start off by saying the Langos was very tasty, a good size and well priced. Now the reason I give 2 stars, I ordered a cherry Retis and was given a goats cheese one. So I took it back to understand why, it turns out they had no cherry (so why not say when I ordered it) the lady behind the counter said she will do me an apple and cinnamon one, I agreed that this would be ok. Whilst waiting I watched them take it out of the microwave. The outside of the Retis was warm and the middle was frozen, no care was given and it felt as though I was the problem by not accepting the goats cheese one in the first place. I took the Retis back again and it was taken off me and that's all. No apology or refund. Terrible service and communication. If all you want is a langos then you should go because...
