FUA is not a real university. The quality of their lectures, seminars and their level of English proficiency is not comparable to other universities across Europe. The university seems to be designed for Americans who are willing to pay extortionate prices for books, accommodation and trips across Italy since most students are there for a semester or two and are willing to spend their money for their study abroad in Europe. This university is not suitable for someone who is looking to obtain a real 4 year degree. As a European, I didn't feel like I fit in due to the mass amount of American exchange students. The professors will even give you a talk about the customs of Italy and the drinking age in America compared to Europe. It truly felt like you were in high school, this university does not take itself seriously. It has no history or tradition to pride itself on, except for the beautiful campuses which are in the centre of the city and are the reason why tuition fees are so high. When problems are brought up to the staff they are not dealt with in a professional manner. If you want a real degree in Fine Art, History of Art or any of the Arts do not go to FUA. You're better off joining an atelier school where they teach you to paint, or a real university which has years of tradition and excellency to...

I'm beyond satisfied with my experience at FUA, Florence University of the Arts. I've recently completed a course taught by Marco de la Pierre, International Management in the Hospitality Industry, and it was by far the most helpful and informative course I've had the pleasure of taking during my collegiate experience.
Marco utilized his contacts in the hospitality industry through dotFlorence to take his students through numerous properties around the city including; two hotels, an apartment, and an apartment building. Due the small size of the class he was able to cater to us directly. The first day he learned of our dream jobs and immediately altered the material to ensure our interest and also to aid us in our futures.
I began this class thinking I knew exactly what I wanted to do and how I could potentially get there, but now I'm leaving with a broadened horizon and an abundant amount of new ideas of ways to ultimately market myself, and make me more desirable and unique in a competitive workforce.
For this I'm incredibly thankful to both FUA and the wonderful professionals they've employed to teach...
Read moreI studied at FUA for the spring, summer and fall semesters at FUA to receive a hospitality concentration in 2019. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. The professors, staff and faculty are beyond supportive and go at lengths to make sure you'll get the most out of the city and the academics. Two classes I particularly enjoyed were Cost Control and Hospitality Accounting with Marco Delapierre. He was an amazing professor who was very insightful and passionate about his courses and his students. I'll always remember our class projects and excursions that he took us on across Florence. In these classes, as well as all my others, our lessons were always connected to first-hand hospitality experience in school properties, city experiences and internships. I'm so grateful to all of the people who left such an impression on me at FUA and I hope to return and see them again...
