An unforgetable example of Italian hospitality! We found this bistro by chance on a rainy day. It is a small modern place, hidden from the noisy crowds near the Basilica of Santa Croce. We were served by Davide, who was very friendly. I really appreciate that the restaurant was opened to adjust the menu according to our requests, depending on fresh ingredients that they currently had. We had delicious ravioli with gorgonzola and spaghetti carbonara with crispy bacon - they were exceptional, I've never eaten anything like that. What appealed were the straightforward, not overly complex menu and the chance to eat outside. We ordered the mixed crostini as an appetizer and found the liver crostini to be outstanding. Of our two pastas, the pomodoro Vesuviello was special as was the vegetarian carbonara (zucchini replaces bacon). To top it off the new twist on millefoglie was absolutely incredible.
