We visited this gelato shop at 9:45pm, happy to arrive well before their 10:30pm closing time. As expected, there was a line, which we didn’t mind. While waiting, we tried to get a look at the gelato flavours to be ready to order.
One staff member was serving customers while the other was working behind the counter. When it was our turn, the second staff member began serving and asked whether I wanted a cone or a cup. I responded “cone,” but was abruptly met with a sharp, “Hurry up, there’s a line behind you and we’re closing — cone or cup?” I was surprised, as I had already answered, but repeated “cone” politely.
The rushed and unfriendly tone made the experience quite uncomfortable. There were no signs indicating the flavours, so I asked about one in particular. Instead of responding, the staff member simply went to scoop it without confirming what it was.
Unfortunately, the gelato itself didn’t live up to the experience either. I wouldn’t recommend this shop — there’s another gelato place across the way with better service and, in my opinion,...
Read moreThe ice cream is regular and expensive. The staff are terribly unfriendly, you can’t try the tastes (which are uncommon) and there is no place to sit down, they don’t even have a trash bin. There’s usually a long line, so you can’t see the tastes until you’re up front. When you get to the front an annoyed person rushes you to choose and they give you a dripping ice cream (without any napkins) before you get a chance to pay. Hence your purse/wallet/card will unavoidably get covered in gelato while they urge you to pay and leave. The experience is definitely not worth the price or discomfort for the ice cream (which all taste kind of the same with some other fruit or nut added). E.g. my salted caramel was just caramel, no salt anywhere to be found. If you still choose to come, i suggest the ricotta and...
Read moreVisited Jan 2023. Dropped in here whilst visiting on a guided tour. Was told there were 3 gelato shops but this was the only one open. Was a queue however it moved fairly quickly and only seemed to slow with people asking for free tasting (they allow 1 free taste). We both got 3 scoops which cost 5 euros each. You have choice of cup or cone. We went for cup. It was nice and the lemon has lemon rind in it so you can really taste the lemon. Whilst it was good, we have had better and cheaper. Service was friendly and quick even though the lady was under pressure with...
