Took a train ride from Omachimachi station, Ueno and had to transfer here and there in order to reach Ochiage station at Sumida City. Finally arrived at Tokyo SOLAMACHI MISE shopping mall where Tokyo Skytree (TS) is located,🗼 the 3rd tallest free standing broadcasting & observation tower in the world, 634 m or 2,080 ft after PNB 118 2,227 ft & Burj Khalifa 2,722 ft.✨
I booked my ticket at 2pm (GMT +9) from Klook online in Japan and apparently it was cheaper than TS itself, RM 86.48 which includes the Tembo Deck (350 m) and Galleria Deck (450 m) which overlooked the whole city of Tokyo & Mt Fuji 🗻 from afar.
To get there it was pretty complicated. Had to go up 3 floors of escalators, go through many shopping outlets eg. Starbucks, Disney Store, Uniqlo, Ghibli store, F&B outlets etc and right at the end to the left, another escalator up, walk towards the long bridge and look for the Entrance of TS Galleria. 🥵 Luckily I left Ueno 2hrs earlier and reached TS 10 mins before my scheduled ticket time. If U missed the timing, your ticket 🎟️ will be forfeited and U can't enter! So, ensure U be there early! It was a breeze booking from Klook. Just Scan your QR code on the reception kiosk and you're good to go for the tour in the elevator!
The first 350 m elevator ride took us 50 seconds!😲🗼👍🏻 Pretty cool 360° aerial view wt a Photo 📸 session by an experienced camera lady, giving U the best tip on how to pose then she'll entice U to purchase her shot!😅🖼️ That will cost U 1500¥ = RM 47.55 per 4R photo and 2 smaller ones for free! There's also a bar café for drinks and all to be consumed there before going up to the next level. Since it was during the Sakura 🌸 season, I managed to get a 🌸 cocktail 🍹 at 700¥ = RM 22.19. Voila! There's also another Free photo session called "The Wish" where one ties a ribbon around the "W" figure for all your wishes to come true before heading to the next level.
The second 450 m ride was also stunning. The elevator 🛗 was a transparent one from the door to the ceiling! Not for the faint of hearts 🥵 but definitely an amazing architecture once you've reached to the highest level! There's "Clouds" prop on the 360° aerial stunning view of Tokyo! A few backdrops for photography and another photo session 📸 by a senior photographer whereby he'll also entice U to purchase his shot!😆😅 It's All about Spending 💰 in Skytree! Overall, an amazing and wonderful view from TS and they even have a "slim" toilet for both genders! 😱🚽🧻👍🏻
One can easily spend 2-3 hrs in TS and it'll leave U with a beautiful feeling, after all the magnificent views of TYO city and a Galleria for some souvenirs. There are also a few Free shuttle bus services to Ueno, Shibuya and other stations from SOLAMACHI. Do listen to the Announcement carefully. A Must visit when...
