Just had dinner at this lovely place. Me being a hotelier with over 15years of experience in the industry let me give my feedback
FoodThe food is very testy, well prepared , presented and reasonable quantity. *Price * The price is very reasonable. I mean not expensive at all, for such view and standard I will say it's very cheap. You can get a bottle of sparking wine as cheap as 2600yen .. Yeah seriously....
** Everyone got a blinking candle on thier desert but we didn't get one * I understood the staff forgot coz she looked busy and was focused to give us all a lasting experience, yet I asked her why I didn't get a candle but everyone else got, she replied /asked me if I was celebrating something ... Yeah she just wanted to be smart I know but I can understand coz I have been through the same and she have provided us a great experience already. Next time better to say ohh 🙏 🙏 I forgot... All in all it's an amazing restaurant with beautiful view of Tokyo from the sky nice food and lovely atmosphere staffs etc .. My lady was 100% satisfied and she is the type that is hardly satisfied 😂 😂 😂. Good job guys...
Read moreOkay, for disclosures I am a foreigner and I'm not a big fine dining kinda guy. My fiance planned us a date there.
I'll start with the good things. The view was great. The food was well thought out and had a diverse variety of flavors. It was truly refined and focused on delivering quality. The service was also very good, professional and courteous.
But as a avid reviewer I must speak some truths.
For one the great view was not enjoyed because we were day directly in front of the sun shining into our eyes, making it hard to even sit there. Normally I wouldn't blame them, but they had curtains blocking the sun which they raised up half way through our meal. There was also very little feet space, but I am a big dude.
I must also report that there was a hair on one of my appetizers. Normally I would hardly care but this place makes such a big deal about themselves and it's like, lol, really? They give you these tiny fancy shmacy serving sizes but it has hair.
I also gotta be frank, the chicken main course was really small, and I just expected a wee bit more chicken. I mean, a single drumstick for me and my fiance got half a thigh, who serves HALF a thigh. They are so fancy but can't even serve a full thigh. It also just wasn't even that flavorful. Not joking, the family mart chicken is better. But I guess the fancy fruit based sauce and the single potato slice is what makes it fancy.
I'm adding an extra star because the dude bringing me water was...
Read moreMenu scam and tourist trap. The food was actually quite good but everything else was lacking. They told us we have to eat the Top Dinner menu and there can’t be any orders a la carte when having a reservation. Their reservation site does not state that, we actually chose something else (see screenshot). Since we do not even eat certain things offered in the Top Dinner menu they adjusted our menu, but we ended up not being served the appetizers on their signature Sky Tree??? The plates were HOT HOT (almost burnt my hand) but the food somehow still lukewarm. Our server touched our plates on the top with her fingers when handing the plates and dirty plates were not cleared before serving a new course. Their general service / hospitality is terrible: upon arrival it was unclear where to wait and we were ignored and taken care of last; we were asked to pay the check while still eating (our reservation time wasn’t even near to be finished); after the initial confusion with the menu we were ignored for 30 minutes before taking our orders and after that everyone treated us with a grumpy attitude! Even though we were forced to order the Top Dinner menu we did not have a front row view. Not worth the money or hype. Reservation website not clear, at least in English. Would only ever go there as a walk in (with a long wait time) if a la carte orders were to...
