My recent visit to Amara Indian Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Tokyo's iconic Skytree, was nothing short of a gastronomic delight. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for a memorable dining experience, and I was not disappointed.
One of the highlights of my visit was undoubtedly the impeccable service. As I perused the menu, a friendly staff member approached me and asked if I was a Muslim. When I confirmed, they warmly informed me that they could offer me a selection of halal dishes. This thoughtful gesture immediately set the tone for a wonderful meal, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail and inclusivity.
Now, onto the food, which was nothing short of spectacular. I had heard rave reviews about their biryani, and I was eager to put it to the test. Let me tell you, it exceeded all expectations. The aroma of spices and fragrant basmati rice that wafted from the dish was simply intoxicating. The biryani was perfectly cooked, with tender pieces of marinated meat and the right balance of spices that tantalized my taste buds with each forkful. It was, without a doubt, one of the best biryanis I have ever had the pleasure of savoring. The portion size was generous, ensuring that I left with a satisfied and contented palate.
But the culinary journey didn't stop there. I also had the opportunity to try a variety of other dishes, including the creamy butter chicken, flavorful chicken tikka, and delectable naan bread. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the skill and passion of the kitchen staff. The flavors were authentic and transported me to the vibrant streets of India.
The ambiance of Amara Indian Restaurant was equally impressive. The décor was tastefully done, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that was perfect for both intimate dinners and gatherings with friends. The restaurant also boasted a stunning view of the Tokyo skyline, which added to the overall...
Read moreResponse to owner: How silly to try and claim I've got the wrong location when I literally wrote the review in the restaurant and can also clearly see its the same location from other reviewers photos and my own google location history 🙄 Aside from my review, there's a reason people rated your store 3.5 and repeatedly say the same thing; bland and lacking in flavour. If you're embarrassed by that and serving customers raw 'vaccume packed food' (your words by the way, not mine), then maybe you should put more effort in to what you serve your customers.
Taste was okay, very basic. No actual real spice or flavour. I believe everything is pre made and ordered in as when I questioned why my chicken looked raw (very pink and mosit, see photo) I was told it comes in a vacuume pack and they just 'add the sauce'. I left half of the chicken as it was so pink and tried to eat the more cooked looking bits. Its very lazy way of doing things if they're just basically using pre made food and heating it. When I came in, I made the host aware of my order and enquired about drinks. I was then left with nothing but table water, and ignored for 20mins. Others who came after me were served first, which is not great. I really hope I don't end up with food poisoning from the chicken, as it definitely looked suspiciously pink and would be an awful way to end my holiday. Overall would...
Read moreThis place absolutely blew my mind away. The food was phenomenal, the service was crazy good, and the atmosphere was, well, I wasn’t really paying attention to it (apart from the music-the music got me vibing to it) cause the food arrived hella fast. Everything I had: the nans, the butter chicken, and more, they tasted like heaven. I felt like I was in heaven when I had the first bite of my cheese nan-and the cheese pull? Marvelous. The dishes there were filling and the price was worth it. I personally loved the mouthwatering flavors and the fantastic texture, and let me tell you, I couldn’t even stop myself from eating. Finished it pretty fast and I strongly recommend this restaurant. Came to Japan for the food, ended up in what’s gotta be the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever dined in. I promise you that you won’t get disappointed. But that is if you don’t eat the kulfi. Was really looking forward to it after the scrumptious dinner but, unfortunately, it wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be. However, if you want a sweet something to enjoy, I heavily suggest having the mango lassi. It’s most definitely my favorite drink now. I don’t know why the restaurant was empty when my family and I entered it, but I’m truly glad we did. Should have...
