The rudest and most inappropriate behaviour experienced on my day trip to Skytower. We weren’t welcomed at the entrance as usual or other costumers. Waiting to be seated only to be called to take out window to process our order. I didn’t know at that time what was about to happen because we ordered our food at the window instead of the counter around the corner. Very confused we were handed our food a minute after ordered and said goodbye. I asked my partner who is Japanese why we got our food in a takeaway bag and weren’t asked to take a seat but she was puzzled too. So I asked nicely which table I could have a seat to enjoy my food but prompt I was stopped and refused to enter the restaurant and asked to leave the restaurant. My partner told me it’s okay because we only paid tax for takeout. We offered to pay the difference but they stayed stubborn. I didn’t really accepted what happened but we moved on and try to find a nice spot to eat outside in the rain however they didn’t provide us with any cutlery, napkins and any sauces. We went back to ask for that and this time my partner took the lead and spoke to the elderly male (nearly bold) and even without understanding the language I could tell he was very rude, disrespectful to my partner and his tone was very submissive. I interrupted in English and said that he couldn’t talk to her like that because my partner was nearly crying by the tone of her weak voice. Anyway as foreigner you should feel welcome in a beautiful country like Japan where you always feel welcomed and respected. This place deserves to be checked on their manners since the Skytower is a very popular destination for tourists. Please stay away from this place. I lost my appetite and left my food on the counter this is how annoyed and angry I was after this experience. STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY! For your own good when you’re not...
Read moreNice food in our taste but the staff was kinda rude. We accidentilly ordered at the (appearently) take out counter outside. We ordered 10 pieces of gyoza and when i needed to pay we had to go inside, my partner went to sit down when i was paying and the clerk at the desk rudely hushed him to go away.. he still went ahead and sat down that’s when it all became really confusing to us. After about 5 minutes of broken english trying to ecplain what the issue was we came to the conclusion that we made a mistake and should’ve ordered inside because the 10 pieces gyoza we ordered was a take out only dish and inside the max was 6. I’m still confused as to why this is a rule and why they made duch a fuss about it. I was being polite and even used translate to tell her i’m sorry and we didn’t know, at the time she told me it’s okay but next time no serve. We went ahead and sat down but that’s where the rudest stuff began to happen. The dtaff was visibly pointing and looking at us while talking in (i think mandarin) but it wasn’t japanese for sure! When she gave us the gyoza pieces i said thankyou politely in japanese and she didn’t say anything and basicly just walked off. Never again here ! Fix...
Read moreJumbo gyoza size was good but lacked flavour, steamed buns dough wasn’t fluffy filling was 🫤 Takeout window service was good but…we were told it would be 8 mins for our t/o so I asked if we could sit in and have a beer, she said sure. Her colleague then pointed to a sign that said ‘..must order 1 food & 1 drink per person’ so I backed away. I just ordered t/o I wasn’t going to order food to sit in when we just wanted a quick beer. The staff said something to each other then I was told it’s ok go sit for a beer but you have to get 1 each (we intended to anyway so 🤷🏻♀️). We were brought the bill with our drinks. Then when the t/o was ready she brings it over and as I reach for it she pulls it back and says ‘can’t eat here’ so I retorted “I know”. We chugged the rest of our beers paid and left. Wouldn’t and didn’t go back. Wouldn’t reco it either with the experience and subpar food - no thanks…too many other places to try (west wing 2F has better...
