Came in when the place was really quite empty but I'd seen this place was highly rated and I had a righteous hunger for Indian. Essentially, I ate like a prince and the quality of the food, flavour and very attentive standard of service (from two of the male staff) was top notch. Every plate was emptied and sent back almost clean. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough for the food and ambience. My experience was soured somewhat at the end for payment of the meal. This was handled by a female member of staff that may have just started her shift and quite frankly was very unpleasant to deal with. I'd been dealing with the 2 other male members of staff and they knocked it out of the park with customer service but her, she just walked in and looked like she didn't want to be there or immediately took some sort of dislike towards me for no reason. Also when taking payment I was trying to use my Amex card and the machine kept saying (card has no host) that means it's a server issue NOT a card issue and all she had to do was reset the machine and try to take payment via pin from me. I know these things because I've worked in a restaurant before. But she just threw this really dirty look at me like I was poor or trying to defraud her or something to that effect. I paid with another card and she just ran out of there. That really made the experience somewhat negative and she was outside gossiping away to another female tourist/ expat she may have recognised. No 'thanks' or 'hope to see you again' from her but the previous males at the bar were super hospitable and gave the customary outros. I wish they handled payment and usually (unless it's clear shift changes) the same staff handle a customer's table until payment. I do not appreciate being dealt with like I'm some sort of peasant or to be spoken to like I'm dumb. Please have a word with her and that's all. I'm not asking for special treatment just common courtesy. Other than that, I really had...

Unfortunately I had an exceptionally bad experience here at this apparent esteemed restaurant. First off, the service by the staff was terrible - they just quietly stare at you, no smiles, no welcomes. We went on a Friday night - it was empty except a couple of people sitting around the bar, so it's not like they had much to do. The second thing was the food. We read the reviews and was expecting some amazing pizza, since it seems like they were famous for it. Unfortunately, soggy bread and tasteless chunks of meat were on it. We also got a giant bowl of salad that were untossed, in a bowl that couldn't fit them. Fine. I decided to feedback to the manager on duty - who immediately told me that as for my first feedback, it was because the staff are new. Personally, don't think it's a good excuse to give. New or not, as a waiter, the job is to make customers feel welcomed. If you mess up the orders or things like that, fine. But friendliness isn't something trained. Secondly, he also tried to excuse the pizza, telling us some story about how it didn't use to be like that. Honestly, wasn't even planning to write a bad review, just wanted to quietly give him some constructive feedback on how to improve. But since the manager's attitude was like this, I guess that's why the staff's attitude is also like this. I really tried to have a good time, and I appreciate that the manager gave us a 10% discount of our bill, but at the end of the day, it was a really unsatisfying experience and I would recommend you to find someplace else to have a...

worst hostel ever. if you are planning to stay in the dorms here don't! the staff are nothing but a bunch of liars and customer service does not exist. when asking about the dorm for one night the staff told me it can get noisy but not to worry as it is very quiet on sunday nights. its almost 12am and i can't sleep because of the music from the bar downstairs. it is so loud and i can feel the bass. the wifi didn't work, when i approached their staff about it the response was 'oh well. if its not working its not working. nothing i can do'. i insisted they at least attempt to reset the router but they refused saying 'nothing i can do man. if it doesn't work it doesn't work' and walked away turning his back on me. with his back turned to me i was asking him is this part of their excellent customer service and i was ignored. i asked to speak to the manager but i was told by everyone he is not available. i think this was a lie. eventually someone came along and gave me the wifi password for another network they have which works. was that so difficult to do?

it may be cheap, if you are planning to stay here then don't because you won't be able to sleep. better to pay a little extra and go somewhere where they understand what customer service is and a place where you can...

Chulia Court was the definition of "just okay". I ordered the Nasi Lemak (Malaysia's signature dish) and found the coconut rice to be a bit stale, the tiger prawn to be on the bland end, the chicken to have quite a bit of bone clinging to the few scraps of meat, and the overall portion size to be rather underwhelming. In total, our meal for two - two entrees and two bottles of water - came to about 54 ringgit, which we felt wasn't so bad considering that a single cocktail at Bayview costs 36 ringgit. There was a guitarist setting up towards the end of our meal, but we left before he'd gotten started. Of note is that Chulia Court's clientele seemed to consistent entirely of foreigners. The only non-tourists in the place were the staff, which isn't necessarily the worst sign, but is certainly a red flag if you're intending to dine with locals or where some regional flavor is best had.

We tried at the restaurant. Foods were delicious. Tried the lamb with butter naan. Cauliflower manchurian. No complains. The night scenario, too much of running lights in the restaurant, doesn't actually feel kinda of safe place with the dark and lights. Others may enjoy it. The biggest problem? We were charged rm15 for a cup of hot water with 3 slices of lemon. Just 2 cups of that was RM30. We understand its tourist spot, but this is way too much. Maybe consider the locals when prices are being charged. RM117 spent for a simple dinner. May not repeat as there are other places which offer much affordable prices.

We were out walking, looking for somewhere to eat. My wife mentioned wanting pizza and when we came across Chulia Court and saw a sign in front we decided to take a look. They also serve Indian food (which we both like), either one of those would have been fine with me so I let the wife decide. She decided on Pizza and we ordered a pepperoni. The wait seemed a little long but the results were worth the wait. The cheeses were especially good and perfectly melted and the crust was just right. All of the waitstaff were friendly and helpful. The dining area looked clean. I would like to go back and try the Indian food!
