Objectively speaking, the station does what it needs to do, which is to get people from point A to B. But what it does not do is fill in the gaps between the starting and end location.
The staff are quite lackluster and rarely, if not at all, treat customers with the care that is required for long and tired travelers going in and out of the station.
The place looks old and un-cared for. If Malaysia wants more people to get a better long lasting impression of this country, the KL Sentral should be renovated to suite modern standards. Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and even Vietnam all put us to shame when it comes to station designs.
Get rid of that ticket system for the KTM Counters. Its inefficient and often makes travelers more frustrated when they have to deal with vacant counters.
The toilets suck!
Maintain the damn Maybank ATM machines. They always break.
Your fixed taxi fair system is stupid! No wonder more and more people use Uber and GrabCar. You don't charge RM18 to go to Mid Valley, when Grab and Uber charge at RM8. Think with you heads and not your damn wallets.
However, the KLIA Express Train counter offers a great service in getting visitors to the airports and the trains come in every 10-20mins (What a marvel!)
In addition, the station does offer great bus links to get around the city, and the station is situated very close to many hotels, which should be a great convenience for many travelers.
Furthermore, for business travelers, and everyone in general, the bridge link to NU Sentral and soon to be opened bridge link to Menara CIMB and Q Sentral are nice additions to bring some life both in consumers and businesses alike. Good Job on that.
Overall, the station does what it was built to do, but just needs more improvements in order to bring it up to par with our neighbors to keep people coming back...
