Really bad. We came back to this place after visiting 6y ago because there was a nice communual area, lots of nice backpackers and nice vibe. The name was then Monkee Inn. They changed name to Seven Nite Inn and now De'nai. No clue why but it's sure not because they've upgraded the place after 6y. The place where normally was breakfast is now a restaurant not part of the hostel anymore. We got BEDBUGS! so we asked to change rooms. Luckily that was okay. Only one staff member was really nice. The girl from the morning didn't say much. Just gave a plate for breakfast and didn't even explain where to get hot water, toast our bread and where to get cutlery. She just went back to reception and played on her phone. Also not enough jam for the 3 breads we got. It's fine for this budget but it's not that it's that cheap. Poor service and not clean. Rooms have bad linnen, we had bedbugs and looking under the bed; lot of dust. Showers need maintenance. Would recommend to find a much...
Read moreLe Village is as good as extreme-budget accommodation gets. As of Jan'17 it was about €3-$4 per bed in a dorm. For this you get a clean bed (no bed bugs - bed linen gets sprayed), warm showers (if you really need them in tropics...), access to a fridge and kitchen on a massive roof-top terrace. If the common room inside is unbearable for non-smokers, the terrace is where this reviewer spent most of his time sipping on tea provided 24h by the hostel. Staff at Le Village is welcoming and friendly. I understand some didn't like the relaxed pace at which they work but this is part of experencing other cultures. As per the name, the hostel is in the very heart of Chinatown and despite the night market being set up on the same street, it's not noisy. Petronas Towers 20mins walk away, Menara KL about 15min, bus to the airport 5min from the hostel. Overall: if you're not a demanding person, this hostel is...
Read moreLe Village is an amazing little gem in Kuala Lumpur, while hard to find, and not unique in it's shared amenities and simple rooms, visitors find themselves in the communal seating area learning card games, or admiring the incredible view of china town from the roof top garden. The vibe of the guest house has to be experienced, from the free clothes box, to guest drawn artwork, to the inspirational quotes plastered over everything the experience is incredible. The staff are incredibly accommodating and will happily accompany you to the secret local night markets or the bus station in our case. The location is fabulous, the staff are fabulous and the views from the rooftop are once...
