As an American living in KL. I visited the ice skating rink inside sunway pyramid mall. They have specific times for open skate sessions and they are absolutely there to make a profit. They make you purchase gloves. So bring ur own as well as socks. I suppose it’s because if you fall it’s kinda easy to get ur fingers sliced off if someone skates by. They have an extra option for black skates which are suppose to be fancy but it’s not needed especially if you know how to skate. If anything just check to see how sharp the blades are because that will dictate how well you will be able to skate.
They have a Chinese New Year show coming up next weekend and I’ll post pictures to show all the pricing and dates.
One cool thing is they give you free lockers so that’s kind of them.
If you like ice skating or need a date idea this is it. For 2 people expect to spend between 70rm to 100rm depending if you want food or extra stuff.
Also if you don’t wanna pay anything you can come to the mall and just spend hours watching people fall on their butts which is quite hilarious.

Read moreThe experience was good but it would have felt safer and more enjoyable if people were actually following the rules of going in the same direction, not speed skating and weaving through the beginner skaters. I also noticed that the supposed “lifeguard” (not sure what the ice rink equivalent is called) and the skating aid bobbies seemed self-defeating. They’re supposed to be adding to the safety but they just added to the chaos instead. The lifeguard guy was helpful in picking up fallen skaters in the first hour but, just like the other speed skaters, he was clearly speed skating in the second hour. I spotted someone falling after he passed by. Meanwhile, the bobbies were enabling people to skate without putting any effort to balance themselves and also enable them to skate in the opposite direction without any regard for others’ safety. Perhaps, the management can look into enforcing the rules more strictly and making sure to not add anything that doesn’t help the...
Read moreI expect profesional service and profesional explanation about coaching package i purchased from ad promoted(no tnc written), price list table in Whatsapp also got NO TNC, the desk (no comms), and coach (no comms, no any follow up). Turns out there's very poor communication, or even No communication for the tnc about the service, classes, expiry dates, etc.
They forced me to paid 5 times in lump sum if want to take classes, while there are no information regarding the coaching expiry. Transaction done by whatsapp, you need to PAY FIRST, then after the payment, they will give the contract to sign on the spot where your class and coaching expiry explanation is stated. The flow of the transaction feels like a trap. Please be careful so you won't get scammed.
Management need to be more proactive about telling the TnC before asking for payments as us customer won't know anything if you don't tell us. For customer who's interested....
