This is a big gym, it has many machines and areas to work properly. It also is well equipped and they offer fitness classes throughout the week, as well as the weekends. Staff members are really helpful and charismatic, they will welcome you with a smile. There are some issues that I consider important mentioning. In regards to the members, the majority of them is on their phones while they rest in between reps, but that causes a trouble in the flow of the other gym members' routine. Some of them spend entire minutes just looking at their pones without actually exercising, occupying the machines/space. Another big issue is the lack of hygene from the members. Many of them do not wear deodorant, or they don't wear fresh clothes to workout, which makes them really smelly and some of them have serious problems. When you are trying to complete your workout and someone who, franky, stinks, it is really disgusting and I even consider it to be a lack of respect towards the rest of the members. Some of them won't wipe the machines or benches after they have used them, walking away and leaving the sweat mark behind. Many members leave the machines loaded with the discs they used, and they should leave the bars/machines free for the next person. Another issue is that many of them smash the equipment as it would make them grow bigger muscles. Specially some guys doing dead lifts or squats...they want to make the most noise apparently. Some members use the cardio machines for long periods of time, while the rest is waiting, some of us want to use them too. They shoud have time limits given that there are not many of those machines. I think the gym staff can make some improvements here, because it would benefit...
Read moreI first got a $29 activity card for the summer school. The first impression when I went in was that the tuition fee was well spent. The swimming pool was quite nice, but I didn't go in to experience it. The gym was packed with all kinds of equipment. Alright, I can cancel my subscription to City Fitness. I don't know how to play squash. Here comes the key point. The badminton court 🏸, the lights here are really blinding. Everyone who has played here says it's blinding. I'll see if they can be turned off during the day. The table tennis table 🏓, there's no partition, it's hard to pick up the balls, and it's right next to the rock climbing area. There are only two tables. (Whatever.) The outdoor football field is formed by merging three tennis courts and is fully enclosed by fine nets (Mom doesn't have to worry about me kicking the ball out of bounds anymore). The basketball court 🏀 is quite nice, but the areas are too close together. When there are many people, it might be easy to bump into each other. Anyway, let's try to enjoy it as early as possible. The student annual card...
Read moreThis gym is absolutely fantastic—a world-class facility with affordable prices that make it accessible for everyone. It truly has everything you need: a great schedule, fantastic coaches, and an environment that leaves you with no excuses to skip your workout! A couple of quick notes to make it even better: -It would be great if canned drinks (like sodas) weren’t allowed in classes—spills are pretty much inevitable! -It would be helpful if the staff could gently remind anyone using their phone during class (or in the wellness pool) to put it away—not only is it disrespectful to the trainer, but it also makes others in the group uncomfortable. -A clear, visible sign in the sauna reminding everyone to use a towel on the bench and to shower before using the pools, especially if coming in sweaty, would be a smart addition to keep things clean and comfy for all.
Overall, this gym rocks—motivating, friendly, and well-run. Totally worth...
