The new westfield in Newmarket finally opened for the public so it would be nicer if all the stores were open. I will wait until then. Bought a banana and mango smoothie from COVA on a busy midday. Now I can relate to busy consumers and the pressure from it all coming from someone who has worked in the hospitality industry before. I truly believe COVA was short staffed with only one staff on the floor two behind the counter one having their break and another one stacking washed dishes. The first person took a break and discuss with someone else in the corner with consumers waiting in line that ends outside of this cafe. Leaving the second staff behind counter to take control and boy did she take control. She took her time so well it took half an hour to bring out my smoothie and by that i dont mean make it - 30mim to bring it out. There was one blender in sight. She kept taking orders instead of helping with serving. She made the first half of my banana smoothie and left it to blend 10mins had gone my banana smoothie is still in the blender and no one looked after it. As soon as she saw me she told the girl inside the kitchen who looked lost and confused but managed ti bring the smoothie out eventually when I tried it was completely bland and watery. When i had told her about my mango smoothie she didn’t believe me and confirmed with the other staff. Mango smoothie came out and that was just as bad. It was so bad that even my added chocolate blend to the banana mixture did not go well but atleast it added more flavour. OVERALL it’s one thing to not get the ingredients correctly but the bad customer service is what will make me never to spend my money...
