The Opera Beach (Operastranda) in Oslo is a man-made beach located near the Oslo Opera House in the Bjørvika district. It was officially opened in 2021 as part of a broader initiative to transform the waterfront area into a more vibrant and accessible public space. The beach features clean, sandy shores and is designed for swimming, sunbathing, and leisure activities. It offers a unique urban beach experience with views of the Oslo Opera House and the surrounding cityscape. Operastranda has quickly become a popular spot for both residents and visitors, contributing to the revitalization of Oslo's waterfront.

Very lovely short stretch of beach. There are nice clean wooden benches around that you can sit and relax while looking out to the waters. Ducks and swans floating around on the water and people swimming too. There is also a floating dock where people can swim over and hang around. I was there during the summer nights around 9pm and it was still bright and crowded. Highly recommended to visit.

Just the idea to be able to swim in the middle of a big city is fantastic. This beach is really not something special, its just a simple man made beach, but the location here is everything. To be able to swim next to the Opera House in Oslo. Wow! This is five stars without a doubt.

Love it! Although small it is a very nice mix of both beach (with sand) and a grassy area, as well as a stone floor in the water. In the water you also find benches and entry points to go dive easily into the sea. Lovely view and places to eat close by.

Operastranda is a 100-metre-long beach in Oslo's city centre. It is located right outside the city's world-famous opera house and flanked by a green park. It’s a very beautiful place! I suggest it👌🏻🇳🇴
