Praça dos Restauradores — Attraction in Lisbon

Name means Restorers. This square has an obelisk commemorating the independence from Spain whose floor is covered with ‘Calçada Portuguesa’ which is Portugal’s unique tile design with geometric patterns which is impressive. This is located near Rossio Square where you can reach by 5 minute walk. The square may have its meaning, but is not that huge or impressive for tourists to look around. You’d better start your trip from here (by just looking the obelisk shortly) towards the Augusta street thru Rossio square until you reach the Arco da Rua Augusta.
