We have 2 service dogs, and since security here harrased us today we don't feel like they would be welcomed or security would follow their own rules that are posted on their website. Dog friendly, and service dogs welcomed. We came here today to socialize 12 week old puppies (XL American Bulldogs) in the common area and asked permission of individual stores to enter with these puppies. We were going by the rules on their website. We were approched by security 3 times in our visit today. Security kept stopping us and asking if we were trying to sale the puppies. We stated we were not going to sale the puppies. We were trying to socialize the puppies to people, other dogs, and new noises. We have 8 in training also contained the entire time in a rolling cart with ice to keep them cool. We were approached by all kinds of nice people that wanted to touch, hold, or pet the puppies in the general areas of the mall. Some people wanted more information on the puppies we explained we are socializing the puppies, so when they get adopted later they would know how to behave, have some potty training, staying calm around new noise, people, etc. There was not one instance of the puppies barking or making any other frowned upon behaviors. If they were wanting information we did not plan on having people interested in adopting any puppy. He nor I would ever sale on street, seen on site, or during training sessions. My husband and I were there to help a friend with the puppies. He is the owner of a kennel place located in the area. We go out and assist with training all dogs from his kennel. When we were leaving the mall (took about a hour because we were not trying to be rude to the patrons in the mall) we stopped and the puppies were being admired. The security approached us again for the 3rd time and told the owner he was trespassing because he gave his website for a patron of the mall that would not take no for an answer because he wanted one puppy. He followed us for over an hour to get information. We saw other people with their dogs and security didn't harass them. Just us. Makes you wonder why they kept approaching us just because we had more than 1 dog. There is nothing in their rules about a limit for dogs allowed.
