If I could have given this a 0 star, I would have. I was super excited to come to catch to celebrate my husband's milestone birthday. Not only did I mention in the notes of my reservation that we were celebrating his birthday, but when we checked in, I mentioned it again. I was told they would be sending something special out to the table, and let's just start with the fact that this absolutely did not happen. That oversight is mild in comparison to what we were subjected to over the course of our dinner.
If you were expecting your experience to be anything similar to the amazing service that the Las Vegas location has, please do not hold your breath, because the service was the exact polar opposite.
We felt aggressively upsold the entire time to the point where it was insulting. At one point, the waitress even told us the amount of food we ordered was not enough, and she could eat it all by herself and still be hungry.
I was hoping to celebrate my husband's birthday with the same exceptional service I've come to expect at the Vegas location, and that just didn't happen. Ultimately it ended up ruining not only my husband's milestone birthday, but it was also his first birthday since his son passed away and we were really looking forward to a meaningful celebration. To say he was crushed and disappointed is a colossal understatement.
I did try speaking with the manager at the end of our meal, and she was dismissive.
I tried messaging Catch MULTIPLE times in their DM's and it's been crickets although just last week when I was trying to get a reservation they were johnny on the spot to respond.
Save your money and go to Elephante where you will be treated like an actual human...

When we first arrived, the check-in process felt a bit unorganized. Guests are asked to wait in the mall lobby until the restaurant opens, and then moved to the bar area until their table is ready. Unfortunately, there isn’t a designated waiting area or seating available, which made it a bit uncomfortable to stand in a walkway along with several other guests.
The restaurant does have a pleasant vibe, but the lighting—though dim—felt somewhat harsh. With no windows or natural light, the space also felt a bit enclosed, which took away from the otherwise upscale atmosphere
As for the food, we would rate it a 3 out of 10. While the two appetizers we ordered were enjoyable, the rest of the meal fell short of expectations. We each ordered a different steak, along with two sides and two desserts. The steaks were noticeably under-seasoned, and we even had to request salt at the table—which is surprising given the price point. My steak was also slightly overcooked. Of the sides, one lacked flavor altogether, while the rice was overwhelmed by lemon to the point where it was difficult to enjoy.
Our server was very friendly and polite, but unfortunately never checked in on how our meals were, which left us having to flag down a manager to address concerns with the sides. Management kindly offered us two desserts in place of the sides, which we appreciated, though they too were underwhelming. The hitme cake presentation was fun, but one portion was still frozen, making it difficult to enjoy
We understand the restaurant is newly opened, so hopefully with time and adjustments, the overall experience...
Read moreI was super excited to try the new Catch in Scottsdale with my friends, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from start to finish. We had an 8:15 PM reservation tonight (a Wednesday night) and arrived early, yet we were not seated for over 40 minutes. Once seated, it took about 10 minutes before anyone brought water or even introduced themselves.
The service throughout the evening was friendly but extremely slow. Our appetizers and drinks took a while, and our main entrees arrived well before our side dish, which did not come out until after we had already finished eating. A man named Ken, who said he was a manager, came by to apologize and was very kind and professional. He comped the side and a dessert, which we appreciated.
However, when it came time to pay, things went downhill again. There were three people in our party, but only two of us split the check. When the bills came back, we discovered that we were each charged for the entire meal, not half. When we brought it up, our waitress took the receipts to fix them and made a snarky comment saying, “You can’t trust boys to do anything right.” After that mistake, we expected the manager to come back and make it right or at least apologize again, but no one did.
Between the 40 minute wait even with a reservation, slow service, delayed food, and billing errors, this was not the luxury dining experience I was expecting from Catch. I had such high hopes for this restaurant, but I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Sadly, I do not see...
