1921년도 근대에 지어진 서양식의 건물로 붉은벽돌과 화강암이 조화를 이루는 아름다운 건물이다. 3.1 독립운동의 주역인 손병희가 주도하여 지은 건물로 서울시 유형문화재로 지정된 문화재이다. 천도교는 우리나라에서 발생한 종교로 근대 최제우 최시형 손병희로 연결되어 현재에 이른다.
