This bar has great views of the market's rear facade and the building surrounding that bar...that's the end of the positive remarks.
We ordered a couple of drinks and enjoyed the fantastic views. The problem came when we ordered the bill. Trying to make some eye contact, you could see that they were avoiding it. I requested the bill a few times, the latest one when the lady was passing by, where I received an angry look and told me with bad manners that she will in a moment. There were people in that bar, but they had several tables empty and you can see at times 4-5 waiters talking between them.
The waiter in question, was walking around, talking with her colleagues, fixing the heaters, cleaning the floor...after 15-20 minutes, we decided to stand up and see if they said something...no luck. Then, I start walking out slowly with the card in my hand, waiting to hear her shouting that I need to pay. We walk and walk and walk and nothing.

Read moreWhat shall I say. Was it first day in Valencia and as usual I planned a walking route. From having read we started in Touria, followed by mercado central, and the beautiful attached region, with plenty of bars restaurants and shops. Hence due to guides we headed to mkt colon, as stop for food, expecting the market as its in Barcelona. No it wasn't. No not close to it. It feels like a place to see and be seen, which was not attracting us, neither did the restaurants.
It is a beautiful place, must see, but next time we will start from here but the city center will be put on focus.
Hence we went over raffa towards center again, resting here for hours.

I need to comment on the snarky dude running the restaurant between the bathrooms. Restaurant was closed and I sat for 3 mins waiting for my mother-in-law to come out of the bathroom and he was spastic about me sitting there (not eating, drinking, touching, doing anything). I speak Spanish fluently and he kept telling me the restaurant was clean and I was making it dirty in sitting there (as he ironically spit food while yapping).
Recommendation for the market: put up a barrier or sign about not sitting so people don’t have to experience verbal assault from an inhospitable tyrant. It gives Valencian...
