Me and my family visited Abu Dhabi Mall for the first time during our Christmas holiday. While there, my 4-year-old daughter needed to use the toilet. When I went to the Children's Comfort Room near the Food Court, I discovered it was only for diaper changing, with no actual toilet available for children. I then attempted to use the PWD toilet, but it was occupied. With no other option, I had to take my daughter to the women's restroom so she could relieve herself.
Aware that I, as a man, shouldn't be in the women's restroom, I called my wife to come quickly. However, when she arrived and knocked on the cubicle door, the lady cleaner (Nepali, with long hair) responded in an incredibly rude and aggressive manner, shouting at her that "boys are not allowed" and added more in nepali language. First of all, we are well aware of the rules. But as a father, should I have let my daughter soil herself in public because there were no suitable facilities? Should I have waited until she was in extreme discomfort or embarrassed herself in the hallway or food court?
I made the best decision for my daughter under the circumstances, and her comfort will always come first. Instead of handling the situation with empathy, the cleaner chose to escalate matters, leaving us no choice but to raise our voices in frustration.
After the commotion, a woman who witnessed everything even approached me outside and encouraged me to report the cleaner to management. She understood my position and acknowledged the lack of appropriate facilities for young children.
Abu Dhabi Mall, this was a disappointing and frustrating experience, especially during the Christmas season. I suggest training your staff to handle situations with empathy and understanding. Additionally, consider improving your facilities to accommodate families with young children better. A little compassion and thoughtfulness can...

Read moreI recently visited Abu Dhabi Mall, and I had a really good experience here. The mall is very spacious, clean, and well organized. It is one of the oldest malls in Abu Dhabi but still feels modern and comfortable. The atmosphere is peaceful and family-friendly, which makes shopping enjoyable.
The mall has more than 200 shops, including big international brands and local stores. You can find everything in one place—clothes, electronics, perfumes, accessories, home items, and more. I personally liked the variety, as it has options for every budget. There is also a cinema for movie lovers, which makes it a good place for entertainment as well.
The food court is also very nice with a wide range of choices. From fast food to proper restaurants, you can enjoy whatever you feel like. After shopping, I tried some food at the food court and it was delicious.
The location is very convenient, as the mall is connected to Beach Rotana Hotel. Parking is also easily available, which is a big plus. Even on weekends, it was not too overcrowded, so shopping was comfortable and stress-free.
What I liked most was the calm and relaxed vibe. Unlike some other malls that are too busy, Abu Dhabi Mall is easy-going and gives you time to shop peacefully.
Overall, I would say Abu Dhabi Mall is a great place for shopping, dining, or just spending quality time with family and friends. It may not be the newest mall, but it is reliable, clean, and definitely worth visiting when you are...
