Benjamin Walls Gallery — Attraction in Asheville

My husband and I were drawn to this gallery because of the amazing wildlife photography we saw from the outside. We were greeted right as we entered by a kind hostess who briefly told us about Mr. Wall and his work. As we signed the guestbook a man walked up to us asking how our day had been, if we had ever been to the gallery before, etc. We had figured he worked there, so we made small talk only to find out right after he left that he was Mr. Wall himself! We were shocked for several reasons: 1. He hadn't introduced himself, which said a lot about his humility, I think. 2. He was so kind to us and very personable. Mr. Wall and the hostess both made us feel so welcome at the gallery. After learning who he was from the hostess, we walked around and thoroughly enjoyed the amazing artwork on display. We also looked through some of Mr. Wall's works that had been formed into collections of books. The hostess was very knowledgeable, kind, and willing to answer any questions we had! I recently bought a piece of photography "Ghost" from the Benjamin Walls gallery. We visited the gallery in the fall and all the photos were stunning. We didn't pull the trigger on buying one as we didn't have a choice of photo we wanted or location to put it at the house. My fiance did have one that she loved. I ultimately decided to surprise her with the "Ghost" piece as her wedding gift. I worked with Sydney Green from the Asheville Gallery. Unfortunately I waited until the last minute to start the process and getting it delivered was going to be cutting it close. Once I told Sydney the occasion and date, she was able to expedite the production and delivery of the piece and had it delivered on the eve of our wedding. A must-see! We happened upon this gallery on our last trip to Asheville, and we were so glad we did! Gorgeous photography that makes you yearn to discover nature. From the moment we entered, we were overcome by the the natural beauty Benjamin Walls captures. The staff member who guided us through the exhibit could not have been more knowledgeable and friendly! It is apparent that staff is passionate about their work with conservation. The company also has intimate tours twice a year to Africa that looked amazing!
