Iād like to share our experience as much as it pains me to write this review. This occurrence happened on Sunday, Motherās Day May 11 around 6-7pm.
As someone who works in retail customer service myself, I get it. People can be frustrating, the public can be such a headache to have to work and cater for. But the girl behind the counter who had her long hair in a ponytail and was wearing black denim shorts was absolutely awful in terms of service.
My stepdad approached the counter to place his order and she immediately interrupts him, āI canāt hear you.ā So my stepdad spoke again, to which she repeated that she couldnāt hear him. So he walked over and told her again, that he wanted the pecan clusters and pointed at them to which she said āand I canāt see what youāre pointing at,ā as she laughed.
At that point my husband and I walked out, baffled by her lack of professionalism and just plain rudeness. Why are you treating customers with such blatant disrespect? My stepdad is one of the kindest people you will meet. Again, as someone who works in customer service, I come from a family that does not treat employees rudely, but with respect instead and how this employee carried herself was so disrespectful, it was laughable. Like this has to be a joke, right? Instead of saying, āexcuse me,ā or, āIām sorry can you speak up?ā She immediately chose to be rude, offering no help in trying to understand his order. It felt like a grumpy power trip on her part.
Suffice to say, we took our business to Kilwinās around the corner. The staff there were so pleasant and friendly and had no issues hearing any of our orders.
I will NEVER come back here just out of principle alone. You donāt treat people like that,...

It caught my attention since I saw it on my Christmas trip with my boyfriendās dad, his fiancĆ©e and my bf
The first one I went to was by myself because they had things to buy at the supermarket but I didn't need anything so I started exploring a little the Downtown but my main stop was here, because of the reviews and the warm and homely way it looks
I ordered an chocolate affogato (I don't drink āļø so this option was ideal and you could choose gelato, yeah, as you read, ge-la-to, any that you want, homemade ones) and OH MY GAIA, to say that it was a delight is not enough, it is one of THE BEST drinks/desserts I have had in ALL MY WHOLE FRIKINā LIFE š¤Æš¤©
The texture and strong flavor of a good chocolate, the creaminess and naturalness of the gelato (we tried about 4 flavors but my favorite was toasted almonds, suuuuuper good š) and last but not least, a good portion of whipped cream on top š¤¤
The attention is 1st classā£ļø The girls who work there are exceptionally sweet, charismatic and super friendly, you definitely feel at home š„°
Asheville is a place that we adore for its ā°ļø and now we have more reasons to go back beyond hiking š„¾
I wish all the success in the wide universe to all this beautiful workers and the owners of this sweet sweet place~āØ
PS: PS: After my first time, we had about 2 more days left on the Airbnb so I took my partner with me both days, so he had a double but I even triple experience ahahahaha I'm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere aren't enough stars to rate this place! All the employees are knowledgeable about everything they have to offer. I love that no matter how busy it was I was treated like the only person in the room when it was my turn to order. I appreciate that masks are required. This place will definitely get more of my business!
Just a thought: When reading the reviews for here I noticed a poor review from someone who was refused service because they didn't have a mask. They didn't have one because they were from out of state and masks weren't required. I don't think a business should have their rating lowered by that type of reviews. Before you travel please take the time to check out the mandate for your destination. You will have a better time by not being turned away and businesses will not have their ratings lowered because you...
