The Jackson building was finished in 1924. The Neo-Gothic 13 story terracotta building was the tallest in NC at the time of construction. It is adorned with Gargoyles near the top which overlook the Paris of the South. During the depression Asheville went bankrupt but chose to pay it back. So no other buildings were put up. Preserving a perfect Art Deco city. Also at the on set of the depression in 1929 a man leapt to his death from the building. This is my favorite building in downtown and has never really been open to the public. But I’ve been to the top which during the 80s had a...

I actually have always wanted to do a Fashion photoshoot here! The Jackson Building in Asheville was built in 1924. The Neo-Gothic design was the first skyscraper in WNC (I actually just had to submit this as a Historic Landmark to Google so they could put it on the map lol...

My favorite building in Asheville NC! (Back in 2009 after grabbing some food in the "Jackson Underground Cafe," I somehow was able to sneak on to the roof! I'll never forget eating that sandwich while looking across the city from up...
