The Websters — Local services in Ashland

I realized I haven't left a review for The Websters yet!! Oh my goodness, where do I even start?? I am just so grateful to have joined the knit community over the past 6 months or so. Especially the local fiber art community! Every time I step foot inside The Websters I feel oh so welcomed! It's truly become what feels like a home away from home. Every single employee is so so amazing and helpful! They are always so sweet and helpful. I am so grateful to have met all the amazing people at the shop! Also, if anyone reading this is thinking about going to the social knitting whether it's the knit night or other times, do it! It is always so much fun to get together with other knitters and chat and work on our projects. I'm so happy I started pushing myself out of my comfort zone and going to them. If I could give them a million...

I placed an online order on a Saturday - late afternoon. Within 24 hours, I received an email with my shipping information; USPS Priority mail with tracking. I received my package promptly, and the yarn was exactly as ordered.

The website was easy to navigate, although my cart emptied after I left it idle too long; I suspect it was because I didn't have an account at that time. The stock had quantity numbers, so it was easy to see if they had enough stock on hand to fulfill my order before I made it. There is a comment field; I requested a single dyelot for my multiple skeins and received a reply within an hour of placing my order.

In summary, fast, easy, and responsive service. Next time I need a sweater's weight of yarn, I will look at...

Fiber arts heaven on earth. Websters store has the most interesting yarn I have seen anywhere--on my most recent visit I was admiring the cones of Habu copper and stainless steel lace yarn and the Kushu Kushu scarf knitted with them--as well as beautiful woven shawls and clothing, jewelry, and knitting accessories. If you are traveling anywhere near Ashland (a charming town to visit in its own right), you owe it to yourself to visit the store in person.

Otherwise their online store offers the same great selection and service--when I have needed information regarding dye lots or just a chat about whether one color looks good with another, they have been helpful. I wish Oregon were closer, but I am a dedicated fan of Websters...
