I normally have a good experience, but this time it was not. I went to Fred’s off of Krog Street on March 15, 2020. I eat there all the time and never had the worst experience ever until yesterday. I ordered $41 worth of food and one of what I ordered was a Korean CHICKEN Philly. I was given a steak and also was given a small amount of fries. I received my order and left to go home. I didn't think to check my bag because this place usually has everything right. I ended up checking my bag before we jumped on the highway because I knew we lived far. I checked my sandwich and it was a Korean Philly that this place had given me. I had my husband turn back around to the location. Okay, I walked in and explained to the first Hispanic guy that my order was wrong, he just looked confused. I showed him my sandwich, fries and my receipt. After showing my receipt, he still asked for my name, which that this point I am confused. I brought you everything in front of you and you still asking me for my name. Okay, I told him my name. He pulls up my order and called a supervisor over. Marcus comes over and he has showed the supervisor and telling him that I am complaining about my food. He made it seems as though, they did not make the error on their end. None of the employee's apologies for the inconvenience or anything. Marcus walked over to the registers and asked me what was messed up as if the guy didn't tell him. I repeated myself to Marcus that I ordered Chicken, not Steak. My fries were not the full serving. I also asked for the inconvenience being that no one has apologies, can I keep the other food being that you will probably throw it away. Marcus said, ” I can't do that.” As I asking him this, I hear in the background the employees were still talking about me complaining about the food. The cooks in the back looked through the window and were looking all at me. I asked Marcus, ”Is there a problem because why is it that your employees carrying on like this when you guys messed up on my order? I even bought everything back for you to see.” He said, ”no there is not a problem and walked off and was talking about it with the Hispanic guy. Another tall white male walked in and asked what happened and they started telling him. I asked Marcus for his supervisor's information, which he said, that I will have to go online and submit my complaint. I asked him what is his supervisor name and he doesn't have a phone number, he tells me no and to go online. He also told me that his supervisor was named Mike. He handed me my food and with a sarcasm remark, ”Is there anything I can help you with today.” I walked off and went home. I arrived at my home and noticed that they have cheated me out of chicken on my sandwich. I am not sure if you guys have changed your serving amount, but if that is the case. Why is the price still the same? I have taken pictures of the amount of meat they put on my sandwich. If you guys are doing this to people, I will stop doing business with this establishment. I will not waste my money on unprofessional people who can't even take ownership. If you can't resolve my issue, I will call my bank and ask for a full refund because the purchase was not...
Read moreWe had us a time at @thekrogdistrictatl food hall on Friday!! We loved the vibes of the food hall, had great customer service, drinks, and the energy inside was amazing. Just folks eating, drinking, and living life!!
We ate at many of the food stalls and here are our impressions:
We started at @gus.dumplings with the Pork Zhang Dumplings which were voted by Food Network as the best in Georgia and we can see why, these things were absolutely amazing. Filled with a slight sweet pork, soft on the inside with just the right amount of bite and chew on the outside. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We then picked up drinks at @hopcityatl which was amazing. Our drink had a half cinnamon stick in it and was fragrant, strong, and complex. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Walking with our drinks we next visited @jaiho Indian Kitchen where we had a beautiful and tasty lamb burger. They didn't over dress rhe burger and the lamb flavor came through which we always love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We then turned the corner and visited @ole_cuban_kitchen and had the tostones supremo. Tostones covered in mojo sauce, lettuce, onions, and we added steak it was amazing and a steal of a size at under 15.00. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
We finished our night with dessert where we grab lemon cake at @soulfoodandculture and ice cream at @jenisicecreams oh my God this ice cream was crazy ridiculous.
If you are near the Krog District food court don't let the reviews stop you, they are fabricated!! The customer service and food at all of these places was good to amazing. We will definitely be back soon!!

Read moreA fantastic food hall housed in a restored 1920s warehouse - such a great spot for lunch! I love how they've kept the industrial charm while creating this warm, inviting space filled with amazing food vendors.
We timed our visit perfectly, arriving around 11am before the lunch rush. Pro tip: if you want to avoid the busy lunch crowds (which I've heard can get pretty intense around noon), definitely aim for an earlier visit like we did. The market really starts buzzing around 12pm with local workers and tourists alike.
The variety of food options is impressive. During our visit, we found everything from Thai and Japanese to authentic Southern BBQ and artisanal sandwiches. I appreciated how each vendor has their own unique space while sharing the communal seating area. The market has a nice mix of counter service spots and sit-down restaurants, plus some cool local retail shops to browse.
Practical details that made the experience better: the market is climate-controlled (very welcome on a hot Atlanta day), has clean, easily accessible restrooms, and offers plenty of seating - though it can fill up quickly during peak hours. There's also a bar serving craft beers and cocktails if you're in the mood.
Perfect spot for groups since everyone can get exactly what they're craving and still eat together. The only minor challenge is finding a table during peak hours, but if you come before noon like we did, it's much easier to snag a spot. Parking is available in the adjacent deck, which is super convenient for this popular Inman Park...
