This has to be the most abysmal dining experience my family and I have ever endured, and it all boils down to one individual: Eric, your cashier at Makinomo. My family has been loyal patrons of your establishment for what feels like d many years since you opened. We've celebrated countless birthdays, anniversaries, and casual weeknight dinners with your food, always leaving satisfied and eager to return. But after our encounter with Eric, I can confidently say we will never be returning customers again. A Cascade of Disrespect: From the moment we approached the counter, Eric exuded an air of profound impatience. He was visibly rushing us to order, practically huffing and puffing as we deliberated for a mere moment. It felt less like a customer interaction and more like an inconvenience to his existence. The true tipping point, however, came when I attempted to ask a simple question about a menu item. I was genuinely curious if a particular dish had certain ingredients. Instead of a helpful response, Eric let out a loud, sarcastic laugh, the kind that rings with condescension. He then snapped, "We've never had that on the menu," as if my question was the most idiotic thing he'd ever heard. His tone, his body language, everything about him screamed contempt. It was utterly humiliating, especially in front of my family and other waiting customers. A Complete Lack of Professionalism: It became painfully clear that Eric possesses absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. He was rude, dismissive, and seemed to take genuine pleasure in making us feel uncomfortable. This isn't just about a bad day; this is about a fundamental lack of respect for the people who keep your business afloat. The Final Straw: After being treated with such blatant disregard, I decided I couldn't, in good conscience, support a business that employs individuals like Eric. I informed him that I was cancelling my order. What happened next was truly the final, infuriating straw. Instead of attempting to de-escalate the situation, or even offering a perfunctory apology, Eric continued to laugh, openly and mockingly, in front of all the other customers about my feedback and my decision to leave. He made a spectacle of our discomfort, further solidifying our resolve to never step foot in your establishment again. This wasn't just a bad experience; it was a terrible, humiliating ordeal. Eric's behavior is not just unprofessional, it's actively detrimental to your business. You've lost a loyal, long-standing customer family, and I have no doubt that if this is how he treats others, we won't be the last. You seriously need to address the conduct of this individual before he drives away every last one of your customers. I hope to hear back from your management. Otherwise I will continue to share this feedback amount colleagues and friends.

This place is delicious! Located at the Krogg Street Market, Makimono was a full 5 stars for me. The atmosphere was great and the music was good, diverse and not too loud. Kevin took my order at the register and he's a cool young man. He recommended some delicious food and an excellent Japanese beer. I got the Lion King roll and Echigo beer and I was plenty satisfied. He even recommended some places around Atlanta for me to visit on a Saturday night since I'm visiting from out of town. Schaila was also amazing. She was steady smiling and helpful. She was even very patient with a guest who didn't hear his number called and was loud and drunk and cursing. She didn't break character for one second. Love this place. Can't wait to come back when I visit Atlanta again. I DO have to mention that parking to get into Krog Street Market is horrendous but don't let that stop you from dining here. Delicious food and great employees.

Had the udon noodles with chicken and the wife had ramen with chicken and our son had sweet and sour chicken with white rice. We spent about 100 bucks so we really tried our best to like it. But we could only take a few bites and had to throw it away. Maybe we just had an off day there, but no one asked us how our food was even though we couldn’t eat essentially any of it. I don’t think I’d be as upset if this was cheaper but it was worse than cheap Chinese take out for triple the price so definitely made it more depressing on how bad it was. We paid and ended up just leaving all the food there except for our son he likes the sweet and sour chicken with rice but I can’t recommend what we ordered. I do here their sushi is good though.

EXTREMELY RUDE WAITER! Visited Krog Market for the first time yesterday, (8/1/2019) not too much to choose from, I'm a major foodie and Japanese cuisine is my favorite so I decided to try this place. I checked out the menu and decided to order with a guy in the outside of the restaurant. He asked if I wanted anything to drink and I asked if I could possibly sit at the bar and order he said yes so I went inside and sat at the bar. A young man came over to my friend and I and asked me what I wanted. I told him I had already ordered and he told me I needed to sit outside since I ordered outside. I said I didn't want to sit out there and he asked if I paid already and I told him no and he said it was fine then since didn't already pay. I told him I was told I could sit inside because I didn't want to sit outside and made a statement as to why everyone kept trying to get me to sit where I didn't want to sit. He then turned to me with an attitude (his body language was giving off that he had a problem with me having a problem with not being able to sit where I want) and said "Are you ok today?" I replied that I was fine and I already knew what I wanted so in the process of me telling him he walked off and said he was telling someone else to help me. I refuse to spend my money in any establishment where I'm being treated unfairly so I got up and left. That's is the most rude and disrespectful reaction you can give in a CUSTOMER SERVICE POSITION! His approach, demeanor, and the way he was taking to me is unacceptable. Not to mention the fact that I was starving and I ended up going somewhere that I didn't want and didn't enjoy it so I was livid. I doubt I will try this place again and after seeing previous reviews I'm sure that's probably...

My husband wanted to take me to this place over the weekend because he knew how much I loved sushi. He had lunch at Makimono a couple times as well and loved the food. Well, my husband ordered food for us (for husband, son and myself) and we were posted at the bar while we waited for our food. Then we noticed that there was a dine-in part to this restaurant, and we wanted to dine-in instead of eating at the bar where you have people working there staring at us. So, my husband asked the person at the register (assuming he was the boss) if we could dine-in instead of sitting at the bar. Our food was not ready yet. The person at the register adamantly told my husband we must sit at the bar because we ordered at the bar. This guy was so rude and very dismissive!!!! This guy had the worst attitude I have ever experienced in a customer service environment. We received our food and we decided to leave with our food because we did not feel welcomed at this place. I am not sure if it was because of what we had just experienced but our food did not taste that great either. I threw 85% of the food away and of course we lost money here (and we left a 20% tip when we ordered the food) BUT WE WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME AT THIS PLACE!!!!! I WISHED WE DID NOT INCLUDE A TIP when we ordered...the service was HORRIBLE!! And looking at the reviews, many other customers have the same thoughts about THE GUY AT THE REGISTER! HE was such a rude, unprofessional, and dismissive individual! YOU make this restaurant look bad! I wish I could give this...
