The team at this location are all exceptionally amazing. So helpful, so pleasant, so knowledgeable, great warm smiles, and super accommodative. I was just there this morning to pick up some outdoor furniture I purchased online and there was a discount to come to pick it up instead of having it shipped. Coming to Buckhead can be a hassle but I’m so glad I did. I walked in the store as soon as it opened at 10AM and they already had my furniture ready upfront annndddd told me my sofas were marked down again in price and that I would be credited for that difference. Then the most glorious thing happened… today was the day ALL the outdoor items besides furniture were 75% off and boy did I rack up lol. Everyone was so helpful by telling me the pricing and helping me to my Uhaul van I rented just to pick up my sofas. I even loved the display outdoor umbrella so much that the manager allowed me to purchase that since it was the last one. I didn’t walk in intending to purchase more, but I couldn’t resist. All the ladies were so helpful, especially the young lady from New York and the young lady at the register with the glasses and sweet southern accent. And I love Zee (who just moved here from Houston), he helped me to my van. I will be coming back just because of the awesome service and the great prices. Once an employee saw me searching, he approached me and advised me of a section where discounted items were, including rugs and more rugs he was bringing out. He was FANTABULOUS!! He actually brought out more, took time and helped me look at them and referred me to website to get a better view. Extremely appreciative for him for that. Also a female whom saw my struggles, she actualy went and got me buggy. Very appreciative for that and held while I placed in cart. While looking for the helpful associate, didn't see so asked another employee, assuming he was manager. He was abrupt with me. He actually kinda dismissed me with his, IDK's. Anywho, at register and attempting to ask the cashier for info on rug/other rugs, she said "not my area, I'm only the cashier and we have other employees for that'! She proceeded to call someone to help me and I said I didn't need anyone alse, I was simply going to ask for the method to view products on the site. Started to take wine-1 bottle from cart for check out- she mentioned, O' the wine can't be sold until 11:30AM. It was about 11:20AM but I removed and didn't want to wait till the time came. I purchased a cabinet online that was marked “available for same-day pickup.” I sent my handyman (who charges $150 per visit) to retrieve it. Upon arrival, they refused to give him the cabinet, claiming the order hadn’t come through. Fine—I told him to return, and I would purchase it again on the spot and cancel the original order.
At that point, things went from frustrating to completely absurd. The manager told me they couldn’t cancel the order and couldn’t accept payment over the phone. So I told her my handyman would pay in person and I’d reimburse him—she agreed but then refused to honor the online price, saying that price was “online only.”
I asked her to adjust the price (which she admitted she had the power to do), and she flat-out refused—without reason, without apology, just sheer stubbornness and a total disregard for customer satisfaction.
In the end, my handyman made two wasted trips, I’m out $150, and I received absolutely nothing. I canceled my order and will never shop at World Market again.
This was not just a policy issue—this was a manager going out of her way to make things difficult. An awful experience all around. Avoid this location...
