If I could give Prime Cigar Bar in Atlanta zero stars, I would. My first—and last—experience at this establishment during a recent visit to ATL was incredibly disappointing. I was excited to try this lounge, as cigar bars are limited in my hometown, and we decided to make it a part of our Saturday night plans. It also happened to be during a UFC fight, which seemed like a great opportunity to enjoy cigars and the event.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by security and informed of a $20 per person cover charge. While unexpected, we thought it was fair, especially since some of our group were eager to watch the main event. However, the issues started immediately after we were seated. The fight was streaming (not a legitimate broadcast), and within the first five minutes, the stream froze at least three times—including during the final knockout. Each time, the manager had to reload the stream, and we missed significant portions of the fight.
I quickly became frustrated that we had paid $20 per person (nearly $100 for our group) to watch a free, poorly streamed fight that didn’t even work properly. After missing the knockout, we decided to leave without spending any additional money.
As we were leaving, I expressed my dissatisfaction to the bouncer, only to be met with a dismissive and unprofessional response: “We all have choices.” I explained that my choice to pay and enter was based on the expectation of a functional experience, and I asked for a refund. This request was denied. I also communicated that I was unhappy and was giving the establishment an opportunity to make things right before I wrote a detailed review online. The bouncer’s response? A condescending remark about how “insignificant” I was to the business, boasting about their celebrity clientele as if regular patrons don’t matter.
That blatant disrespect was infuriating. The manager eventually approached to hear my concerns, and I explained the situation, including my intention to let others know how poorly non-celebrity patrons are treated here. It wasn’t until I mentioned their illegal streaming of the fight that the tone shifted, and the manager offered a refund. By that point, the principle of the matter had left a bitter taste, and I declined.
If you’re looking for a place that values your time, money, and experience, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. Prime Cigar Bar clearly prioritizes ego over customer service, and they’ve lost me—and my friends—as...

I rarely leave reviews, but after what happened during my recent visit to this cigar lounge, I feel obligated to speak up — not just for myself, but for anyone who values integrity and trust when spending their hard-earned money.
My friends and I visited this establishment every day over the weekend to celebrate a birthday. As avid cigar enthusiasts, we thoroughly enjoyed the vibe and ambiance. Over the course of our stay, we spent close to $6,000 at this lounge — we believed in supporting a place that offered good energy and a great atmosphere.
Unfortunately, that trust was completely shattered.
One night, I realized I left my brand new Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses at the lounge. I immediately called and spoke with both the head of security and the general manager, who confirmed that they had located my glasses and that they were secure in the office. I returned the next day and waited over five hours for someone to unlock the door so I could retrieve them — only to be told they were suddenly missing.
The same glasses they confirmed hours earlier were now “gone.”
I had to leave to catch my flight back to Dallas, but while on the plane, I received alerts from my Find My iPhone app. The glasses had been activated and were now being tracked. Since all my Apple devices are synced, including my financial details, I also received notifications that my credit card information had been accessed.
The name associated with the suspicious activity was Sonia Ashley, an employee at the lounge.
I immediately reported this to the security team, shared her name, and was told I would receive a follow-up — but no one has contacted me since. I still don’t have my glasses. I still haven’t received any explanation. And worse, my financial security was compromised while trusting this business.
I came here to celebrate and support a local lounge, but instead, I left feeling violated, ignored, and disrespected. I’m now strongly considering escalating this situation legally.
To management: I urge you to take this seriously. This wasn’t just a pair of glasses — this was a breach of trust, security, and professionalism. Guests should never have to worry about the safety of their belongings or their personal information being misused by your staff.

Read moreFirst impressions are lasting and can be an indication of what to expect. Such was my experience at Prime Cigar. I walked in and the two hostess (a stretch given that they didn't provide hospitality) sitting there like they are hanging out at home. They looked at me as to ask, "Why did you decide to come in?" They were eating pizza. Yes, at the reception area, and no pizza is not sold there. They asked me to pick a spot. The place was empty so it was an easy decision. I decided on the bar. The lady working the bar also seem less than enthusiastic that I decided to come into their establishment.
The food was okay. I would not recommend it. I was charged $3 for hot sauce. Where do they charge for condiments to make the food less bland? The best part of my visit was the cigar I brought in. I waited at least 10 minutes for dirty dishes to be cleared and for more water. The ashtray filled with ashes never to be emptied. While I wait, someone brings a round of ice coffee for the staff. Ice coffee?!?!? Another item not on the menu. When I sat down, a male staffer enjoyed his Mexican lunch at one of the tables in the lounge. No, not the staff lounge. 45 minutes into my experience gone wrong, a couple of female staffer enjoyed something they must have got from the local bakery. They too are eatting in the lounge.
They have a bouncer on staff. Guess he is around to keep his colleagues in line.
My entire visit, the staff is just in their corner, chatting it up with no care to the world. The women are dressed in form fitting jumpsuits. Feels like an Era from another century. Men staffer dress more modestly with a polo shirt and black jeans. I am challenged to understand the stark difference.
The place looks warm, but the service is chilly, very chilly. If you want a place to come and be left alone with little to no customer service, this is your place. If you expect the bare minimum, look elsewhere. I'm assuming the poor customer service is related to automatic 20%...
