I would've love to give this place more stars but the overall experience was like they tried to take a food truck idea and turn it into a dining experience.
For starters the vibe was cool when I walked into the restaurant. It wasn't too large and there was only one table being waited on with me, that only had 2 people. Not surprised, as it was roughly 1:00pm. The Waffle+Croissant idea is masterful. I personally had Georgia Peach and it tasted really good. I ordered the Croffle and chicken platter, with a side of eggs. From what I saw on the menu, the eggs had cheese on it. I asked my waiter (she didn't have a name tag, but the receipt says, Ms. J) if the eggs came with cheese just like the picture, and she responded with a "yes it comes with cheese". I was surprised b/c most restaurants charge, but I kindly asked for American. I'll come back to this towards the end.
When I received my food, I was a bit surprised at the size of the elementary chicken wings. They were overcooked and rubbery but flavor was pretty decent. The Croffle was cooked well and tasted amazing with all of the toppings they topped it with (Pictures 1&2). Towards the end of my meal, she came over and I asked her for a small "To-Go box" for the last small piece of chicken I saved, and ordered another Croffle and chicken meal, with an extra side of Croffles (I wanted to bring some home to my family). I asked her to make sure the toppings were completely separated b/c I had just under an hour to travel and I didn't want the Croffles getting soggy. She said, and I quote, "That's not a problem. All of our To-Go orders separate the toppings". I was happy to hear that and proceed with my order.
While I waited I had to flag her down twice to remind her again for my "To-Go Box" for my small piece of chicken. About 20 mins later she came back to the table with my "To-Go" order with the toppings all over the Croffles, stating that I "would be ok" with taking the order as is as "it wouldnt be soggy b/c the cook said so." I told her that's not what I requested, and kindly reiterated that I had a distance to drive and I would like for the toppings to be on the side. She took the order back and said they would fix it. She still didn't bring my "To-Go Box", but brought the bill. I was charged a "$1" for cheese on the eggs. Not a big deal, but my overall server experience wasn't going too well at this point.
She returned 5 mins later with the "To-Go" order properly separated (later realized it was the same Croffles upside down when I got home), but the sauce cups had very little sauce (picture 3&4), and no cookie toppings for both Croffle orders (which I had to point out to her) - still no "To-Go Box". I kindly asked her for the cookie toppings, my "To-Go Box" again, and the same sauce amount that I had on my "dine-in" Croffle order. She came back 2 mins later with a new check, no cookie toppings, and no "To-Go Box". The check had "$4" extra for sauce. I told her that I didn't want extra but only the sauce that came with the Croffles. She said she was told to charge me extra. I eventually told her that I no longer wanted the sauce, and to please remove it from my bill. I also made my 5th request for my "To-Go Box", for my little piece of chicken (poor little guy). When she went to remove it, I overheard the kitchen staff and manager express their dissatisfaction with me. She finally had the new check, the "To-Go Box", my "To-Go" order, cookie toppings, and she threw in 1 extra sauce for free.
My waiter came to my table a total 3 times to properly service me (To take may order, deliver my order, and bring the bill). Outside of that, it was whenever I called her, and she still didn't execute on my request thoroughly. The restaurants automatically charges 18% gratuity (even on "To-Go" orders based on the reviews). How? Why? You barely did anything.
They have a great food idea, but they may need to sell it to someone else so it can be properly executed, as they aren't ready to be in the Food, Service and...

Crescent City Kitchen, tucked into 1080 Crescent Ave NE in Midtown Atlanta, is the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto a local secret. Where bold Southern flavors, smooth hip hop style music, and warm hospitality all come together in the best way.
At first, we weren’t sure if it was a kid-friendly place, but the staff immediately put us at ease and let us know that families are absolutely welcome. That kind of thoughtfulness set the tone for the whole experience.
Now the food? Whew. Pure Southern magic.
We kicked things off with the Crescent City Flights, Croffle Flight…which was like brunch heaven. A trio of croissant-waffle creations that were flaky, flavorful, and just downright fun. You have to try the peach one. Then came the Creole Catch, which delivered fresh seafood with bold Creole spice that tasted like it came straight outta New Orleans. And the Cajun Jambalaya Pasta? Rich, hearty, and packed with smoky sausage, juicy shrimp, and just the right amount of heat…it is spicy, comfort food with a kick!
The music playing throughout the restaurant set the perfect vibe lively but laid back, just enough to make you feel like you're at a Southern dinner party and cookout. And the drinks? On point. Craft cocktails that hit all the right notes, both refreshing and creative.
But what truly stood out was the staff. Every single person we met was genuinely kind, attentive, and full of that Southern charm that makes you feel like family. Friendly faces, fast service, and real conversation it made the entire experience even better.
Whether you're coming with friends, family, or just looking for a solo bite with good vibes, Crescent Kitchen is a spot that delivers. Food that fills your belly and your soul, a welcoming atmosphere, and a team that knows how to make you feel right at home.
We’re already planning our next visit because once you’ve been, you’ll want to come back...
Read moreMe and a group of friends decided to choose this restaurant as our New Year’s Eve brunch! Overall, I will give it a 3/5. It was very easy to make a reservation online, and there was a parking deck connected directly next to the building, so it’s very convenient to park, especially in Midtown. The only mention I would say is that we didn’t get a ticket when entering the parking deck, but once we were leaving, one of the owners let us out, so we were very grateful. Upon arriving, the restaurant had a good amount of people, but we still had to wait a bit for our table to be ready. Once we were sat, we had to wait almost 30+ minutes to get our waiter to come over, and serve us water. And then took another almost 30 minutes for us to get our drink orders, whereas the whole table ordered the same drink. Once ordering appetizers, there seem to be a bit of a lag time for anything that we ordered or needed. Another mention would be that on their Instagram page, they were advertising for a complementary glass of champagne during their business hours, but once we inquired about it, we were told different hours as what was marketed. None of the less, we received the complimentary champagne once we noticed other guests were getting a glass upon arrival. As expected, we knew our food would come out as ready, but majority of our group ordered a lot of the same dishes and entrées, but they came out 5 to 10 minutes apart. Some dishes, such as the mac & cheese, had to be sent back because it was cold on the inside. Besides those points, the food that we did eat was delicious and so flavorful! The catfish grits were amazing! By this point, our party had just become frustrated and was ready to go. My last mention would be that all checks come with the gratuity, no matter what you ordered, so beware! I would definitely return to this establishment but probably on a day where it’s not as packed in order to try and get...
